hey Guys thanks for the reply's...

I would rather not run the sound through the laptop I kinda wanted to keep them seperate, like just turn the xbox on and the speakers and crack on.

I have heard that if you use the VGA cable thing u can plug the audio jacks into a mini hifi speaker system, is there not any speakers where i could just plug the audio jacks staright into the speakers or would I need like some kind of home theartre system to do that???

I was going to hook up my HDTV to my pc I tried it with my VGA lead and I could only get 1024/768 L

I think this is because of my graphic card drivers ATI Radeon X1950 pro AGP 512mb GDDR3 or because that's the native res of the TV for VGA I'm not sure.

So I was then going to try DVI - HDMI and was informed by pc world that this was a crap connection and that I was better of sticking with a VGA to pc monitor, but surly DVI - HDMI is a digital connection rather than a VGA analogue connection would be better right?

Can anyone shed any light on this topic at all please?

Two totally different games in my opinion.

I mean Vegas you can take your time and plan things out a little and then move so hence it's a tactical team based shooter, COD IV is a run and gun shooter like HALO III.

I have these games and I play whatever I'm in the mood for it does not mean that one is better than the other just that different kinds of game play.
