@roguebot I totally agree... There was certain point where I found myself quitting over and over. I did like the start zone, the home planet, all very engaging. But pretty soon the nice little touches that differentiated SWTOR from the generic MMO began to disappear and I was left with a dull game that I just couldn't keep playing. The other gameplay elements couldn't keep it afloat for me once the story became a lackluster background later on.

@Majkic666 @devinj Well... he didn't say anything about the length of enjoyment. I enjoyed WoW, just not for very long :P

I agree with everything but the Reapers from Mass Effect. The Reaper's thing is that they are very enigmatic, and they want you to think they are unbeatable. I have to wonder, have you even played ME1? There is a certain scene on Virmire which definitely shows the Reapers to be much more than personality-deprived aliens. They are coming to Earth for a purpose you don't know, but that you WANT to know, and that you can try to figure out. I thought they fit in much better as a good example of mystery. The whole game is spent trying to discover things about them, and it really does drive you to want the answers. Anyway, good article Kevin, but that Reaper part came across sounding more like a hate mail than a solid example. Also, for my favorite villain, I'd go with Seymour from FFX. Great villain.
