I don't think that Mario kart needs to add sonic, i think they need a boost from other characters.

Take a look at baby Mario, baby Luigi, baby Peach.... most likely they would put a baby yoshi for next the next mario kart!

All im saying is that mario kart needs to add more characters like they do in SSBB, like Funky Kong he is not a clone of others like Dry Bowser or Dry Bones
