This is not good. I can only hope this idea fails completely. It's entirely dependent upon your internet connection and that's not something everyone can rely on. That's just my number one problem. There's also the fact that many people who are already playing games in HD would have to downgrade to SD because of their connections. I have a whole list of issues with this device but suffice it to say that this is great for PC gamers and terrible for console gamers.
This was a terrible video. The guy was not funny at all, his information was mostly wrong, and it doesn't really tell you anything about FFVII you would need to know. Play the games. They're not confusing at all.
I can't play any more shooters without cover systems. Rainbox Six Vegas has spoiled me. So if there's some awesome cover mechanic involved in the new SOCOM, in Army of Two, and in Call of Duty 4 I'll get all of those. If there's not, then they're just going to be added to the pile of great shooters that play exactly the same (like all the other Call of Duty's, all the other SOCOMs, and most of the games on this list).
Zoo3, I felt the same way about that movie. What's interesting to me, however, is that I never felt that "uncanniness" watching Advent Children, which was also a Square-Enix CG. Does this mean that they've somehow reached a relatively perfect level of animation? As far as I know, this is the only piece of CG entertainment I've ever seen that doesn't give me the feeling I had watching things like the Heavy Rain trailer or the cutscenes of Hitman: Blood Money.
