@minty_cbo
You do know that Nintendo could operate for about a decade without profit and still have resources. Plus that other thing the 3DS is selling well. People will always be saying Nintendo is doomed when they don't even look at the facts. This crap gets old after a while. I am pretty sure you are referencing the SNES CD drive/PS1 with Sony(which isn't that far back). In case you didn't know back in the 80's Sega was going to put Nintendo out of business as well.

Posts like yours used to be funny for a while but after so many years it's just tired.

@thepalatinepoet

I've read it a few times and all I can come up with is Tom Mc Shea is a genius. I do agree that Smash Bros being shoved down our throats every year with just new roster updates. and no other changes is getting tired. <_< As well as Mario Kart 7 being maybe the best is a sign that the series can't grow anymore. Seriously, pure genius.

Why do we need another 3D Mario? Hell that Mario Galaxy 2 was the highest rated game of all time. They must have ran out of ideas years ago and it plays just the same as Mario 64 on my VC. Oh wait, that's not the problem, it's the same character so that's what makes it stale. If they had of put a guy in a space suit, called Master Captain, now that would have been fresh! That is what would have made it a different experience.

Great for the fresh idea is to make Yoshi look like a story book. That innovation didn't happen in 1998.
Hell nothing has changed, they are developing major franchises with first party publishers who have experience with HD like they always have. I am sure that Nameco? (spelling) company will add nothing to a brawling game. They know nothing about fighting games at all.

Thank goodness my PS3 never had a bloated firmware update or updates that caused issues for connectivity with a system I will never own. That half hour when I plugged in my Wii U was worse then getting a tooth pulled. I will never get over that day.... half hour.

That whole Wii thing, it never got more of an audience than the soccer moms that used to work out with their NES as little girls. No innovation at all.

Finally I have to agree that my Wii U sure has being gathering dust with only an average of 90 hours or so in the full months since I have had it.

@SIDEFX1 With that post I don't think anyone with any common sense at all wants to be your definition of a "real gamer."

This may sound silly but because of all this DLC stuff I am patient enough to wait for Game of the Year, etc editions at a reduced than original retail price plus the DLC included. I have a crapload of games and I would rather play an old but "full" game again than rush out and buy a full price retail game that has day one dlc, on disc dlc or is one that I have to pay for a freaking online pass. I also don't like obviously planned and completed before release DLC that is released on a schedule for a fee, if free that's fine. For my Wii it's not an issue, for my 3DS I am not sure where it is headed (so far I had DOA which was free). As for my PS3 I have only bought two "new" games. WWE 12 which I got on sale so I got the game and all axxes pass for the regular price of the game and I got skyrim not long ago when it went down in price by $20 dollars at the source and the new patch was out. Everything else has been budget bin or dlc included versions. Maybe if more people did that it wouldn't be as big of an issue. I know that is hard to resist buying a game that you have been excited about but I find it worth it for satisfaction with what I payed for. I don't think the concept of DLC is bad. A newly designed map for an aging online game, a few new made after release levels or quests for a great single player game at reasonable price or as in the rare case free is nothing bad. But $5 plus for one freaking character in a fighter or 30 minutes of gameplay? Come on.
