Thanks for answers guys. But this question still needs to be answered: Are cases worth getting for xbone and ps4 controllers?

Very much thanks for your answers and opinions. It has helped greatly.

I made my decision to buy a ds4. That last comment was a deal breaker. It's gotta work well with PCs.

I've been looking around and surprised to see that they sell cases for the new generation controllers. Both xbox one and ps4 controllers have the option to have cases. I was like wut, I never seen anything like this. Are cases worth getting along as well or just get the controller itself?

EDIT: They actually do not look like they're worth it. It seems like the cases hamper your ability to use the controller. I looked at the pictures online and it seems like they're in the way and it's harder for you to press the buttons and move the analog sticks.

Hey guys. I am just wondering and what is your opinion on this topic. I have some PC games that I like to play with a playstation controller such as Mortal Kombat (and other fighting games), some racing games, and others. Is it worth getting a new ps4 controller if you already have a dualshock 3? How do they compare and contrast? Are the buttons more responsive and/or more sensitive? More comfortable?

Some games are just meant to be played with console controllers.

Wut? It seems like you are not understanding why I have windows 10 on both devices. I wanted windows 10 on my new ssd so I had to create media installation tool after upgrading to windows 10 on my hdd. So, I took out my hdd and plugged in my new ssd and did a clean install of windows 10 on it. And how do I reformat it if I replug in my hdd and it won't boot from there.

Here is the step by step guideline on how I got to where I am at with this issue.

  1. Bought a new ssd. Was currently using windows 7 on my old hdd.
  2. I upgraded to windows 10 on my hdd.
  3. Created a media installation tool via my usb thumbdrive.
  4. Took out my hdd, plugged in my new ssd. Fresh installed windows 10 on the new ssd.
  5. I tried to re-plug in my old hdd back into the computer, but apparently there is a problem.

This problem is that when I boot up the computer, it says that i need a bootable device (or something like that) or press any key to continue after plugging in one.

Umm ok wtf? I did change my mobo setup to prioritize the order. The order is that it should boot up from my new ssd then the hdd.

And strange that when I unplugged the hdd, it was still doing that. So I had to press F11 on bootup to show bootup options and what was listed there was "windows bootup manager: (my ssd description here)" and that should not have been there at all. It should have only listed just ssd description like it did before.

So, any ideas? What I am trying to do is simultaneously use both my hdd and ssd. SSD for stuff to load quick and hdd for rest of crap that isn't need to load quick. Well, since I got bunch of crap on my hdd and still windows 10 on hdd. It's like my motherboard is confused on which device to bootup from because both hdd and ssd has windows 10 in it and are both bootable.

I am trying to reformat my hdd and use it as extra storage.

I decided to do a clean install right now on this HDD then migrate it over to the new SSD. Is this good or bad idea? What about doing this with EaseUS Todo Backup?

Btw, I just ordered a 1TB Samsung 850 Evo. :D

Nevermind I googled it. There's plenty of guides. Thanks for the help. I know I could have googled before asking this but this is also a good place to find answers. And I knew I would get good responses. There are alot of very pc literate people on here lol.

Any more links to which ever ssd's you guys recommend would be nice and any good guide that you guys know of on how to make the switch and upgrade would also be nice.

Well yeah, I figured I would do a clean install of windows 10. But is there a guide or anything that shows how I can do this? How do i specifically do a clean install from windows 7 on hdd to the ssd?

As the topic questions, is it possible? I currently have windows 7 on hdd. I am going to buy a new SSD soon and I need to upgrade to windows 10 before the end of the year or I will have to pay to upgrade the windows and I want that on the ssd. So, I was wondering if it's possible to upgrade to windows 10 on a new ssd from windows 7 on hdd.

Also, what do you guys recommend for SSD? What is the best 750+ GB SSD (or 500, depending on budget)? Or maybe should I get a hybrid of hdd and ssd? (I forgot what this is called). Any links would be nice.
