Wait for Mega Man 9. That's the only game I see myself playing for the WiiWare.

I'd give this a 3.5

Pros

-Shigero Miyamoto

-Reggie Fils-Aime

-Wii Speak

-Wii Motion Plus

-Celebrity endorsements of the DS

-GTA Chinatown Wars

Cons

-Not enough games displayed

-Too many kid-oriented/casual games

-No new Donkey Kong, Star Fox, or any other hardcore 1st party games

-Not enough mature-themed games: No MadWorld, No Star Wars: TFU

-The Super Mario Bros "boogeying" in Wii Music was embarrassing.

-The WiiMotion Plus is what is should've been IN THE FIRST PLACE!

-I'm not sure I want people to know who I'm talking to while using the WiiSpeak

-No new WiiWare games (NOT EVEN MEGA MAN 9!!!)

-No Virtual Console game announcements

What needs to be done; this isn't about E3 anymore. This is what Nintendo needs to do throughout!

-Online VC games. Yes, I know this is a "dead issue", but to put multiplayer online in old school games like Mortal Kombat II would give Microsoft and Sony a run for their money

-Old School arcades/games on WiiWare. If Microsoft and Sony can put Double Dragon, Street Fighter II Turbo, Castlevania: SOTN, why can't WiiWare do this?

-Better Original 3rd party games. You can't put ported games from the other consoles on the Wii anymore. It just doesn't work like that. Nintendo needs to vigorously push for better, more mature-themed, hardcore games. Resident Evil is a good start, and so is the Godfather and No More Heroes. MadWorld shows a lot of promise. How about something a little more established like Metal Gear Solid (a spin-off, not Guns of the Patriots)? Need that.

-Stop endorsing alf-hassed games like Ninjabread Man, Jenga, Chicken Shoot, and Deal or No Deal! Yes, I know you're trying to "appeal to the casual gamer", but there was nothing appealing about those games AT ALL! Enough of ZOO Games!

R.I.P. Nintendo?

More like good job nintendo. Look at that video. Four adults are playing video games. This is the image that Nintendo is trying to get out to people. They are trying to break that boundry. They are trying to expand video games to make them a source of mainstream entertainment like movies.

How is this at all a bad thing? When would you ever see four adults that age playing video game's together? never.

Just because they didnt show off "teh ubzerz hardcorez gamez" your getting mad? They still have plenty of software for you as do third parties. Most gamers IGNORE the software because its incredible niche or it's art direction is too "KIDDY".

Also, did you ever realize most of Nintendo's core franchises can be considered casual themselves? Mario? Casual. Zelda? Casual. Smash Bros? Casual. Mario Kart? Causal.Haziqonfire

As for the 4 adults playing video games, it was just flatout embarrasing to watch.

Actually, I would consider Mario, Zelda, and Smash Bros to be hardcore... for kids. Heck, I play them myself, but how about MadWorld, Madden 09, Star Wars TFU, and other hardcore games with more mature content? I'm glad that the DS is bringing out GTA Chinatown Wars but more needs to be done.

[QUOTE="T_P_O"]The technical specs would be impossible for the Wii to handle.Wintry_Flutist

Seriously, the gameplay shown today at MS press conference wasn't jaw dropping. A downgrade for Wii would be no sin.

It would take a lot more than what you saw at E3 to make a significant downgrade. Wii owners would be angry if the RE5 version they wanted would be stripped.

Next time when you guys post on what games are going to be released, make sure you put a link to verify on where you got the info from. Last thing we need are disappointed gamers waiting for a certain good one to come out only to realized that it's not. In this case: River City Ransom.

With two people you can beat the game pretty easily as you can go back off screen when one person dies and regenerate no penalty.

gamecubepad

Actually, if you die, you regenerate with half of all your money missing. So if you have $1000 and saving for Zeus's Wand, best that you don't die.

I found this article:

"A physician and a child psychologist in Boston are concerned that the Wii controls are training younger players for violence. Dr. Michael Rich of Children's Hospital believes that kids are "learning the muscle memory necessary to do those acts, to stab someone, to chop someone, to shoot someone." Another doctor, Dr. Susan Linn who is part of a watchdog group, believes parents don't realize games are violent because they don't play the games and even if they did they would have to get good at the game to get to the really violent parts. It was also revealed today that some parents are letting their children eat dinner with knives and forks which has been training them to stab and cut. :p "

How much crap like this do we have to put up?

Metal Gear Solid 1st one, Where sniper wolf kills merel got me a bit emotional. The ending of halo 3, finally it comes to end which i didn't want it to.InFaMous_Si

Sniper Wolf never really did kill Meryl, but the part in which Wolf dies, the dialogue and the music (PS1 and PC) got to me.

[QUOTE="chansaet"]I got COD4 and it takes very little shoots to kill someone. It was great. your gun shots actually mean something. MOH has great controls but damn do I hate the fact it takes like 20 shots using a thomson to kill someone. I really wished MOH:H2 was more like COD in that it takes very little shoots to kill someone.yeahyeahbigN

haha, it does take a while to kill someone, but if you aimed towards the upper torso, or the head, it doesn't take that much to kill someone. at first, i thought it was a pain to take someone down, but after getting used to the game, it's pretty fun and easy to kill someone. give it more time.

I played MOH Allied Assault and it does the same thing. You have to be "anatomically precise" when it comes to shooting someone because shooting in the legs won't take down your enemy.Head and torso shots will.
