I think the NextGens should be PC component based.

The PS3 was too bespoke, too expensive to build, all of the tech needed for a new console is in the market place right now.

Build a bespoke OS and boom you have a new console.There was talk of a Steam Box and tbh Steam makes the Xbox and PSN look half baked.I'd be well tempted by a Steam Box....
