No they are not. For the first time ever Nintendo is loosing money on each system sold and are trying to make it back up on 1st party titles. However when you install base is low you can only sell no more than what the base is. Nintendo is caught in a black hole of sales right now with the Wii U.
I would like to see them just abandon the gamepad, include the pro controller, and decrease the price by $75.00. At this point Nintendo has to sell consoles and the gamepad isn't that crucial to the gaming experience. The sad thing is Nintendo is stuck with the Wii U for at least another 3-4 years before their next thing.
