Yea, I finally gave up and uninstalled; they just announced that they know everything is broken and that all the player hate it, but they have no intention of doing anything about it. Here's to having this game fail so maybe someone else can make a decent Mechwarrior game. Oh, if anyone from a major gaming studio is reading this, it could be a great game if you bought them out and fired everyone but the art staff.
I fell in love with this game for a month; it is gorgeous. Then the frustration level kicked up into the redzone, and I walked off with half of the points I spent real money on unspent. The back-and-forth weapon overbalancing was bad enough, but then they put ECM in and suddenly you're either in an ECM mech or you're just walking target practice for people who are. I had one, but it got BORING doing the same thing over and over again, and I could either play one of my non-ECM mechs, which meant I would most likely lose to a team that had ECM, or I could buy a new ECM mech... which would be pretty much just like the ECM mech I already have, so what's the point? Then there's their idea of fun; "capture the flag" was fun at summer camp when you were 10, but most of the people who have cash to shell out are at least adolescents, if not full adults. Where are the missions? Why can't I get 3 of my friends together and play through the clan invasion? Why isn't there something other than, "kill everyone or go sit on their base for a minute?" Oh, they put in Conquest, which is, "kill everyone or go sit on some number of bases for some amount of time." Whee. I'm not even upset about the money I spent; I suppose that I am more offended at what they have done to a game that I love.
