I'm not familiar with EA sports servers, I know there's a couple of EA games where there servers have closed down permanently. So I wonder if old dated sports titles still have their servers up and running after more annual recent versions have come out?

Always liked EA MMA's submission gameplay, in Undisputed 2010 I couldn't submit the cpu at all. Anyway they mentioned that the submission system will be more of a step by step process rather than press a button to initiate a submission. Any ideas? I think what it means is that your fighter is going to have to work at controling the opponents arms and legs on the ground before applying a submission.

I don't mind a more in-depth complicated system as long as the tutorial appropriately explains the system and doesn't trick you on what the gameplay is about. In UFC 2010 the sub system was god awful and the tutorials didn't help for jack all. 2010 tutorial tells you to do this, which is all good in the tutorial but in the actual game it stunk. UFC 3 was somewhat of an improvement but not a whole lot.

People don't get pissed off at the word zombie. Geeky fanboys and nerds do when using that word to describe their precious "infected". The infected are zombies, just a different type of zombie, mushroom zombies! I don't know how those surviors can starve to death in the apocalypse when you have plenty of access to mushrooms that you can fry and saute! Sure the clickers can eat you, but you can also eat them! Just make sure to cook 'em well to eliminate all the bad blood and bacteria infested in them. Yum Yum, good for pizza toppings. In post apocalypse beggars can't be choosers

I stand on the side of prefering not to have zombies or in this case "infected" in the game. Mostly because I dislike horror, I don't get amusement from being scared, but I guess for others that's their way to get an adrenaline rush. But Last of Us is not very scary anyway, it's more action horror rather than survival horror. I was interested in this game because of that hotel trailer of the human marauders, the hunters, and how the A.I behaved. I would have loved it if the game was made up of only those scenarios but then I found out later on that they had monsters in it. It almost made me change my mind about getting the game, but I'm also a fan of Naughty Dog's Uncharted series, so I didn't want to pass up on this story telling.

Now I'm stuck in a Hotel basement dealing with the things that follow up turning on a generator! Now I have to wait when there's broad daylight outside with children laughing and playing. But if they sing "ring around the rosie" in a slow diabolical chant while I'm playing, then that won't ameliorate the situation much but just add to the despair.

Anyway this is the game I wished "I Am Alive" could've been; graphically, story, and realistic A.I. To see that promising debut trailer of a survivor of an earthquake, to ending up with a game that looks mute or monotone and uninteresting was a major let down. I rather play a game with zombies in it. What I would really want is a game like Last of Us minus the infected; psychological, survival, stealth action, realistic A.I, challenging puzzles, platforming, with something else added in like trade/barter system, and diplomacy as an option to avoid confrontations or make allies.

Overall I'm happy with the Last of Us mostly for the story telling and human encounters.

Actually read somewhere on the net that the problem is with the "Throwdown" challenge being enabled. You have to disable the feature to have the game running smooth in versus + others. Haven't tested it out yet see if it's true.

When I play versus against the cpu, the game freezes for a second everytime now and again. Wondering if anyone else is experiencing this same problem? I'm enjoying the game but I find this freezing to be an annoyance.

I'll "throwdown" with you. Not a major fighting gamer, but I've always liked the DOA series, so I don't have good skills yet anyway. In Noth American region, have a mic.

I miss the old R6. I want none of this reptitive fps or third person shooter gameplay. I miss all of the old features and the international team. Everything that made R6 unique. Squad command game, not just a fps.

So what are the chances that DOA5 will introduce the Bra & panties match? A first for fighting games.

For you mainstay fans, will brushing up on my DoA2 skills prepare me for DOA5? I'm a PS owner and I don't know how much the controller move sets have changed over time with the characters. I know Street Fighter usually keeps the same button combinations for its characters in its sequels, I wonder if DOA has and will do the same. So when I memorize the moves from DOA2 again hopefully it will lead into a smooth transition when I buy DOA5. Good to be prepared ahead of time for online!
