Neverwinter is Dungeon based MMORPG, well actually more like RPG with COOP mode. Actually I have installed Rift and played first 5 levels but got bored because I played it right after Neverwinter and as you said combat is dull and boring compared to Neverwinter. Despite that I was looking at builds and got amazed by fact that there are so many possibilities and combinations. Now even after reading some reviews for C9, Vindictus, Rusty Hearts and TERA i am still pretty much in the dark. Have you played those game and if you have what game has largest content and world to explore? Thanks again :)Hey, well, to be honest, the things you are looking for, you won't find all of them together in one game.
In the past few months we have seen a lot of F2P MMORPGs coming or paid MMORPGs going free. After trying quite a few, I got stuck to Neverwinter simply because of it's addictive combat. But, problem with Neverwinter is that the world doesn't really feel like an MMORPG, feels more like a zone based D&D style online RPG.
Very recently, RIFT went F2P. I'll be honest, when I started playing it, the combat seemed uninteresting, the character animations seemed kinda dull (compared to WoW) and the world seemed too huge and confusing. But as I hung onto it and kept playing, it grew on me. Now, I can safely say, at least according to me, it's the best F2P MMORPG around. It's not P2W, also its unlinke Star Wars The Old Republic's F2P where the restrictions on free players are game-breaking. RIFT seems to balance it well.
Still early days though and of course, people might disagree with me but I feel RIFT and Neverwinter are the best ones around. RIFT has a huge world, lots to do and good balance but lacks the addictive combat system that Neverwinter has. Since you have already tried Neverwinter, I'd say try out RIFT. It's more like WoW but with more things to do while you quest/level and has promising endgame. What more can you ask for from a F2P MMORPG.
Cheers. ;)
