Everything has critiques. If you don't like it, ignore it. Maybe his sense or idea of games are different from us. Or he just wants a lot of attention.

Ha, you're lucky. I bought my Wii when it was like 300 bucks or 250, I forgot. But, I got it when it came out. It's totally worth it. It's for casual gamers, so if you're hardcore then you may not get enough haha. I'm hardcore myself, but I have a gamer PC and a Xbox 360. Lul. IMO, you should get it, especially you get all the little bonuses that come with it.

Geforce 9500 is a nice gfx card. I'm pretty sure you can run BF:BC 2 at near high settings. Not essentially maxed. I have a ATI Radeon 4650, and it runs BC2 at near max settings.

Dragon Ages: Origins is really awesome. The interface and the skills are nice. It's quite challenging. It might be troubling for newbie PC gamers however. I really recommend it, but if you aren't much of a gamer, it may be hard to control and get used to.

PC Gaming will still thrive. Bioware and Ubisoft are huge companies which supports PC gaming. Why would Microsoft stop making games for the PC, they would lose money if they stopped making xbox ports for the PC. I suck at shooters on the xbox 360, but great on the PC, so it'd upset me if PC gaming died...

I haven't tried SM:G2 or G1, but I loved the 64 version, which I played on the DS. I actually beat the game lol.
