First time at E3

I went to the E3 this year for the first time. It really was a lot of fun, but it was also very tiring trying to get through the crowd in the exhibit halls. Since I attended with a media badge, I ended getting whole bunch of press kits. Before, I didn't know exactly what was included in press kit. Now I know. It's a bunch of high resolution game images, artwork and screenshots that are used for websites and press prints. The Square Enix kit included the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children trailer DVD (which is pretty awesome).

I got to play some demos like Onimusha 4, Fullmetal Alchemist 2, One Piece, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Batman, and etc. I really wanted to see more of Devil May Cry 4, but the trailer was very short (it can be viewed here at gamespot). Oh yea, BradyGames and Prima were giving out free strategy guide books (any one you wanted, as long as they had it), but the line was too long and I was too exhausted to wait. Over all, I had a lot of fun. The only outrageous thing about it was that it was the first time I've ever seen a $40 (USD) parking fee. I suppose those parking lots are making banks from the E3 attendees...

Anime Expo 2005

Yay! I am going to attend the Anime Expo this year as press (press are allowed in all areas restricted to regular attendees). That means no more waiting in 6 hour long lines for event tickets. Phew! I remember one year, my friend and I lined up at 1 AM for Masquerade tickets. Tons of other people were also camping out on the sidewalk. All of us crazy people slept on the cold, hard ground. When I got up the next morning, I was tired, sore and grumpy.

Since I didn't know I'd be attending the Expo this year as press beforehand, I already sent out the check for my full membership badge. I hope they will be able to refund me now >.< That way, I can use the refund to get another new game for my PS2...kekeke. I just can't wait to go! But first of all, I must suffer through my finals at school. *Sigh*
