I had been reading rumors about Walmart taking preorders starting today (limited quantity) so I called my local store just now to verify, the nice lady had to call her higher up because she wasn't sure and she came back on the phone with confirmation that starting today Walmart is taking another batch of Wii U preorders and that "they will be available for pick up on November 18th". Just thought that I would share with you all. I am going to do this rather than wait in line like I did for the Wii 6 years ago which was at my local Walmart. What a horror story that is, long story short, I got there at about 4PM and wasn't sure if there was enough Wii's to go around and the manager came out and said that he wasn't sure how many Wii's he had to give away (which is complete BS) so I waited there until midnight only to be two people short of getting one. I was pissed along with the others behind me, what manager DOESN'T know the stock that they received? Complete bull crap. Compare that to another popular hardware launch with the iPhone, Apple always makes sure to tell everyone exactly how many iPhone's they have (based off carrier and GB size) and they also hand out water bottles to the people in line, talk to their customers and make it a fun experience. Walmart SUCKS. Anyone else have a similar experience with the Wii back in '06?

Nintendoland could have been an announcement at tonights roundtable and Nintendo should have closed out the show with P100.

This Project P100 by Platinum games looks pretty solid. Why was this not shown at the presser? Had this been shown during the conference then the conference probably wouldn't have been recieved so badly; why? Because it's actually something NEW.

[QUOTE="Foxi911"]Yes, because then you have something to look forward to/purchasing.... not something that is already out. Sepewrath
lol that makes no sense. You know it, I know, the next person that post knows; Mario and Zelda is coming out. So if your going to buy based on expectations, what's stopping you?

Because I am not going to buy something and then just let it fricken sit there and collect dust.

[QUOTE="robbob8888"]I don't know what to say. Mostly everything we saw is either already on the market or we already knew about it. Pikmin wasn't a surprise because we all pretty much expected that. Nintendo did a terrible job showing off the Wii U GamePad, from the demo's shown, the controller didn't add anything major to enhance the gameplay, just gimmicky crap. The only positive thing I can take away from this conference was that MiiVerse looks pretty nice . . . other than that, nothing. The least Nintendo could have done was show off a teaser for the next Zelda or 3D Mario, even if those games are years away, it would have somewhat saved the show. Nintendo has given me a reason to just go and buy a cheap PS3 or 360. As of now, I am only going to purchase the Wii U once the next Zelda or 3D Mario is released. Pikmin I could really care less about. Sepewrath
So you would have purchased the system if they showed you a game coming out in 3 years?

Yes, I said that. I WILL BUY the system once the next major Zelda or 3D Mario releases.
