So I am currently looking for a new laptop. Since I have a desktop computer and I'm in college I was attracted to the Netbooks because of portability and pricing.

My friend has a customized HP Netbook and I looked into those but they are all super expensive (for a Netbook).

I've been doing some research and was wondering if anyone can give me some suggestions on Netbooks?

I kind of want the price range of $150-$250, mainly a cheap one.

RAM, processing power and all that stuff doesn't really matter in the aspect of I'm never going to play games or anything, just as long as it gets good Wi-Fi, decent battery life and doesn't run SUPER slow.

I also don't want to pay a low price and get a piece of crap with like a 15 second battery life. So I was just looking for suggestions.

Any feedback would be appreciated!!

Thanks!

So me and three of my friends live in a house and we have one wireless router (linksys) and we're all able to get a decent single, good enough for me to play PS3 online without lagging. However, about a week ago for some reason I wasn't able to connect to our wireless (I have an iMac by the way). I wasn't even able to pick it up on my lists of networks. My other two roomates, whose rooms are right next to mine, have PC's and are able to view the wireless in thier lists but can't connect. My fourth roommate has the wireless router in his room and can connect to it.

I've tried resetting it, unplugging it, but nothing works. This JUST started happening and I'm confused.

Help!?

you haven't played much have you? Well, this is what i'm assuming...a Rockstar is the highest rank (as in level, like you start level 1 and level up by picking up money till you get to 10 or something) because i got that trophy by playing like 3 online games...i hate the online though so even if i get all the other trophies (unlikely, even though i got the pigeon one the other day) i'll never bother with those ones.

Yeah, I never really played too much of the multiplayer. It felt weird to me. So I just assumed that Rockstar meant an employee, rather than a rank.

GTA4 and Uncharted are the two games that will need to replay for the trophies when i find time. i own Fallout 3, but haven't started it yet, but i guess that is a good thing as trophies are concerned

Really? From the looks of the GTA4 trophies, they all look near impossible to get. I saw one saying that you had to beat a Rockstar worker in on-line mode. What are the chances of that happening?

But I just feel the need when it is so easy. Noby Noby Boy for instance. I have no idea what I'm doing. I know I'm not having fun. But the fact that their is only about 7 or 8 trophies, 4 of which you get in the opening tutorial, make me feel the need to continue playing. It's sad. But I feel like I am not alone.

This.

I don't care for trophies at all, but I'll chase after tham for a bit of extra fun in Mirror's Edge or Sacred 2.

But most of the time platinum trophies require bending over backwards. To get the Infamous platinum trophy you needed to get all the previous trophies, which included 100% blast shards and 100% stunds. Those, in my mind, require bending over backwards, forwards, and sideways.

Well, then I don't know about X_Factor, but if a platinum requires that much work, I simply don't go for it. I just try to get as many trophies as I can with as little effort as possible.

I wish I could do that.

I go for trophies for games that I feel are worth it.

I'll happily go after a Fallout 3 or Uncharted platinum, but I sure won't bother getting 10,000 online kills in Resistance 2 to get it...you get my drift?

I'm not going to bend over backwards for a trophy, but I'll take the time to do the ones worth doing.

I rented it and it is one it's way. From what I've herd, it seems to be a good rental and a bad buy. It's one of those games that's only fun if you rent it, because you feel like there was no commitment to the game. Where, if you buy it, then you feel like the $60 could have been spent on a BBQ pit and some matches to burn the game. Either way, I would say it's a good, fun, rental.
