The question on my mind is, what is with the buzz surrounding new consoles as of late? Everybody thinks that just because nintendo has something planned, XBOX and SONY will follow suit. NOTHING has been announced, we don't even have a glimpse!!! We had a glimpse of the 360 back in 2003 and that was 2 years before it came out! I remember reading an article a couple years ago that Microsoft and Sony execs didn't expect to put out new systems until 2015, what with downloadable content becoming more and more available. Think about it- it doesn't cost them as much to develop and it doesn't cost us as much to buy it, and they are still making tons of cash so why would they spend tons of money developing new systems? This plus the fact that XBOX will be releasing a new system complete with a DVR recorder tells me that we will not even be getting a sniff of next gen consoles for quite some time.
