I see a lot of people pissed off at copy protection technologies. I understand it when the technology harms the computer or is invasive. However, Bioware and other companies did find a way to make it less invasive: Most of us have internet connections that are permanent (I can safely say that in the last 2 years, my internet went down for one day. I can live without playing games for one day), so what's the big deal if EA or Bioware checks the cd-key every 10 days?
'Well, remove the copy protection and I will buy the game!!!' Guess what? 'Sins of a Solar Empire' was released without copy protection, but hey, it is still being pirated, so that strategy didn't work.
It's funny how people wipe out their bus/subway cards so readily but then cry foul when a company wants to verify that you purchased their game.
So I ask you, how would YOU protect your property?
