To mr. Reviewer guy, the vehicles don't have fuel consumption. Get your facts right. They say in the game, "you'll be driving so little, feul isn't really an issue."
Really this was just an element of the game that game stripped away before launch.
To those bitching about the score in comparison to the last of us, you do realize that these two games were reviewed by different people don't you? #mindf***
Whining over a score for a game that isn't even out yet, get a grip, you can't know what the game deserves. Blasting the critic for not agreeing with the majority of the other sources...is that what they're here to do? He gave his thoughts and feelings toward the game, and backed it up with evidence. That's a legitimate review. Criticisms stated were pretty cut and dried. Other sources don't even mention these issues. You may argue, once you actually play the game, whether or not this review was too harsh. But you can't argue the guy wasn't telling the truth from his perspective.
@Xellos5526 In regards to ign. Their reviews tend to be more shallow, brief, less comprehensive. They get their reviews out fast so people find them first. That's how they survive. Gspot survives by having better reviews. Its about quality, not quantity.Thats what got me reading them the last 10 years. Sure, some crappy journalists have come and gone, but that can be said about anywhere. Greg kasavin and Kevin Van Ord have been great for this site in keeping it worth reading.
If nintendo would just join the arms race and make a console with an efficient controller, and a smart, comprehensive online structure, people and developers would actually give a shit about Nintendo. I don't want stupid gimmicks like motion control and a touch screen. I'm always wishing Microsoft or Sony had the rights to Metroid, Mario, Zelda, F-Zero, etc. so we could REALLY see these games potential...
@queuing_for_PS4 he's not really attacking the game. You said it yourself, it's one of the most influencial games. He's talking about just that, the influence the game has now left to the industry. The Leon quote at the end says it all. These crappy games that have come since seem like they were made by amateurs. Sometimes amazing games CAN bring negative change, as we have seen.
You can't be upset that RE4 revamped the combat. They made it so the game was actually playable. The sense of fear and helplessness in older games was all because you feared ever having to actually control your character in a fight, it was BAD. RE4 was still spooky and dangerous as hell. I was always walking super slow, peeking around corners, and still confident that I was going to get ripped in half at any given moment.
