I plugged in my Nvida gtx 260 in to the machine and the drivers loaded itself and runs fine. It is not a driver issue. The card doesn't work period. Did you even read what I wrote? The responses given to me make sense to you?The FX computers are advertised as a gaming system and to be told by support a game as old as World of Warcraft is not supported is outrageous.

I'm glad your gateway works fine because Heaven forbid you should have any problems and have to deal with their support.

I bought a gateway and it was nothing but a nightmare. The tech support was the absolute worse. My video card stopped working and I went to the support site and talked live to a technical support person. I was told that most games aren't supported or compatible with my system. Now this machine comes with an ati 4850 which is supposed to be a video card for gaming. When I tried to explain this to the tech person she told me to reinstall all my games, I was actually told World of Warcraft is a graphic intensive game and my computer doesn't support high end games. When I told her this doesn't make any sense I was simply booted out from the chat. I then proceeded to contact non-live support. I was told to do a full system restore, which while doing so caused my machine to crash. Finally Windows 7 was released and I updated my machine and still the video doesn't work and here is what I was told by gateway:

By verifying your account details, we understand that your system is shipped with the windows vista home premium . I am also sorry to inform you that we do not support dual booting in our system .

Please note that Gateway does not support changing an Operating System. Changing the Operating System may cause driver conflicts. You have the option of upgrading or changing your Operating System at your own discretion. However, it is preferred that you keep to the original configuration of your system so that all the programs and applications in your computer will recognize all the hardware installed in it.

The drivers are usually found on the Restore CDs or on the hard drive recovery partition (for medialess system). This may sound frustrating but you cannot use the Restore CDs to reload the drivers to a different Operating System. These drivers are configured with the original Operating System that came preloaded with your computer.

If you wish to install Windows XP, you may need to search online for the driver(s) of the device(s) you are looking for. However, please be advised that we cannot guarantee that these drivers will work on your computer. In addition, we are not liable for any damage or compatibility issue that they may cause. Please be advised that any changes or upgrades to the original configuration of the system are done so at the sole risk of you the end user.

Although we will still support the hardware of the system, we will not be able to support the new Operating System. We can still support the functionality of the system with the new Operating System. If the support reaches the point of suspected hardware replacement/repair vs. software support for the hardware, you must reinstall the original Operating System and drivers before the part can be replaced/repaired.

Please refer the minimum specification of your game with the specification of your computer and check whether that particular game is compatible or not .You could visit our website to get the specification of your computer .

Not only are gateway machines simply poorly put together the support is worse. Do NOT buy any gateway.

I really blame myself since I usually build my own computer.. this is what happens when your lazy!!

No one mentioned Jade Empire. I played Jade empire like 6 times just to see the different endings. I actually felt bad at a couple of points going the evil route. It was made by the guys who did KOTOR, and I am confident you won't be disappointed.
