I don't plan on running SLI, and I'm just curious as to a good wattage rating for a PSU. My components on the rig are gonna be:

Intel Q8400 @2.66GHz (not really planning on OC)

Thermaltake MaxOrb Cooling Fan

4GB of RAM (might be expanded to 6 at some point in the future)

NVidia GTX285 w/ 1Gb of VRAM

1 HDD

Creative Lab Sound Blaster Audigy SE

1 DVD-RW Drive

Those are all the power using components I believe. I used some site and it said 350W or some ****, and that can't possibly be right, so I thought it'd ask the good people of the forums. :D

Is it still five, or does it drop down to two? I was told that it was two by somebody, and I haven't had a chance to put together enough controllers since to test if it's true. However, I'm going over to a friend's place tonight to play some Gears along with three other people, and it'd be comforting to know we can all play locally without having to use a system link configuration of some sort.

So, this rig is getting along in age now, and I'm not buying a new one for two years, so my first upgrade (rationally) is the GPU; I'm using a 7900, so I'd like to upgrade to a 9800. Now, I've got $200 and I found a 9800 for $100 after rebates on newegg, so I'm thinking about buying two; the problem is the PSU. Does anybody know if this computer's PSU can handle those two cards?

Upgrading from 7900, so anything will be better; not willing to spend more than $200; any suggestions, or is this a good setup?

I've got really big hands, so I absolutely LOVE the 360 controller; I find it has a good weight to it, great analog sticks, the buttons are nice and clicky, the only thing that kinda sucks is the d-pad, I don't hit the wrong thing usually, but it sometimes doesn't respond. My friend has a PS3, the d-pad on their controller is top-notch; i hate the controller though; I find it too light, it feels flimsy, like I could snap it if I got stuck one more time on a level of CoD4. He says he likes the 360 controllers more as well.

This is an orgasm; those are the absolute best achievements I've seen in such a long time; they'll actually be fun to get. Btw, the 100% good/evil achievement is just reaching either end. It's called the extremist, you gotta reach the extreme. I'm so glad that I preordered this game just earlier this day.
