Whenever stuff like this happens I never see it as a mistake but just part of your story through the game. The way I see it theres no "wrong" way to play. If someone dies just roll with and see what happens, it might even make the game more interesting.

Also the monocular is nice to look at views up close but totally not necessary, I wouldn't worry about it.

The thing I love about Indie games is that generally their very cheap compared to triple AAA titles so even if I don't get a demo I don't mind taking the risk to buy something because I've not invested so much in the product. I don't think indie devs have the money or resources to put together a demo but there's generally more coverage on gaming sites and youtube channels so you might have to put your faith in the community to tell you whether its the game for you.

I think its always the most exciting when we see something totally unexpected. It seems hard to keep secrets at these events anymore but remember when Watch Dogs was announced and everyone freaked about because nobody new anything about it beforehand. Something like that from a Sony developer would be awesome.

I kind of like that the emphasis is on stealth and actual thieving rather than combat but for some reason not that excited about the game. Maybe It'll be really good but for me its kind of a wait and see situation.

I just think if your not going to invest some time in the ship battles and ocean exploration then maybe a AC game based mostly around pirates is something you should not buy. I mean the classic assassins creed activities are really played down in this one and quite a few story missions involve using your ship.

Ubisoft went in a different direction and maybe that's something not in tune with what you want and while I can relate to wanting some of the older mechanics back I enjoyed this one a lot so maybe take a chance on it.

Sorry but if there's pirates there's probably ships too.

I think it looks pretty good but I'm also playing through Metro Last Light (free through PS Plus) which has quite a few horror elements as well so it all might be too much horror in a short space of time.

Then again I don't have too much else to play on my PS4 so I'll probably end up playing it pretty much when it comes out.

Housemarque just keeps making games I want to play. Loved Outland on my PS3 and Resogun was my personal favorite PS4 game. Look forward to their next project.

Just looking at all these indie games is such a reminder of just how great they really are. Most of my best gaming memories this gen have come from indie games.

If I get really into a game I might watch some video play through's or discussions. One guy I really like is EpicNameBro who's Dark Souls videos are the best out there. If you like anything to do with Dark Souls check him out.
