If I want to play this I'll need to buy a Nintendo 3DS. What do you guys think? Is it worth it? You can turn the 3D part off right? And if anyone has a spare 3DS they don't play I'll gladly paypal like $80 for it...

edit: If I never plan to turn the 3D on/ don't want it in general would the 2DS be better to buy? Or is that a bad system?

They're playing you guys so bad. Recreating a console with minimal changes and trying to sell it for $300 is such a scam. I'd love to get it, but I can't justify paying $300 for something that I already have. Especially when I could pick up an xbox with some games for that price.

Blue Rescue Mystery Dungeons or whatever it was called was terrible lol. I felt like I was playing a floppy disk RPG game.

I don't think so. The graphics aren't really that much better, and the 3D on it is lackluster (which would be expected from new technology). However, I've never been into the whole 3D thing so the console isn't really going to appeal to me no matter how good it is. I remember going to IMAX movies and not being that impressed, which is sad for me because 3D seems to be where society is gravitating towards.

Anyways, for $170 I can buy a regular DS that won't kill my eyes and a game or two to go with it. Should they stop supporting regular DS systems, I'll just stop buying games and move to something else. I love playing on my DS, but forcing everyone to spend an extra $70 on a poor 3D graphic system that gives you headaches isn't a good marketing decision. Hopefully they would release an updated DSi system to go along with the 3Ds, should they stop supporting regular DS systems. Unlikely, though.

Junichi Masuda recently posted saying that he recommends that if you bought Black previously, you should get Black 2 or if you had White, you should get White 2.

....which is what I was going to do anyway.

I wonder why? The storyline wasn't different at all, just the Pokemon and a few cities.

I hope they add a lot more things to do after you beat the game. Some of the things in Black/White are OK, but most just seem like a "look what we have the technology to do!" sort of thing to me. Keep the C-Gear wireless crap, remove the Entralink and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD don't add another Black City/White Forest. If they do (and they probably will) I hope it at least doesn't degenerate over time.

Since finding negatives is so easy, I'll just make a list of improvements I'd like to see:

- less emphasis on wireless communication. Keep the C-Gear stuff, but remove the Entralink and Dream thing.

- remove musicals and replace them with something somewhat entertaining.

- give us more hidden areas to explore.

- give us more water/areas to surf.

- go back to the Gen 3 style of HM Dive.

- allow us to plant berries, make Pokeblocks, the pancake things in Gen 4, etc. etc. etc.

- make legendary Pokemon harder to catch.

Fix the above and I'll be as happy as a clam(pearl). I really liked the story Black/White had though, and hopefully they keep the same quality it had. The graphics were awesome too, another +1. Either way I'll be buying Black 2 and another DS system just in case.

Really wish there was a way to beta test this IMO.

Does anyone know a good platformer-style game for the Wii or Gamecube? I have Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy; I'm really looking for a Mario game like these two.

Am I getting lucky or has anyone else noticed that the legendary pokemon are unbelievably easy to capture? I blew my money on like 50 ultra balls and caught 2/3 fighting legendaries using about 10 balls total. Just got them to red HP and made sure theywere paralyzed.

I find it a little odd. I remember buying 99 ultra balls in LeafGreen when trying to catch Mewtwo and literally going through all 99 balls 4-5 times before I got him. Seems like they made them easier to catch, but I have no idea why.

Super Smash Bros Brawl. I bought that game the first week it came out and I still occasionally play it.
