Yeah I guess you're right. Though when I meant recently I was referring to today and Egypt. I'm well aware of the disaster against Italy and Brazil. At least I'm someone in the USA that has a bit of optimism for the team and the sport.:P Maybe you have optimism, I just see the United States maaaybe sneaking out of the group stages, though it depends whos in their draw. If I could use one word to describe the game, it would be "fluke" (not "luck," since Spain had so many opportunities but didn't convert a single one... you make your own luck)CommanderShiro
I heard today on the radio that ESPN had struck some deal with the English Premiership to broadcast some games. Someone correct me if I'm wrong about that.[QUOTE="MadDuckKOP"]
USshould live more soccer games on TV, this game is extreme inspirational

Anyways, USA USA USA! I was so angry I couldn't see the majority of the game because I had class. I was able to see the final 8 minutes of the game, and was completely stunned looking at the score. Losing Michael Bradley to a red card hurts for the Confederations Cup final. Oh well I guess? I'm just glad that USA was able to bring their A-game recently. The necessary tie breaker scenario in their group happening was simply unbelievable. Whoever they face in the Final "most likely Brazil", I hope they learn from the experience and show alot of heart next year in South Africa 2010. The future seems at least somewhat bright for Team USA.
But they havent brought their A game - they looked dismal against both Brasil and Italy. And I know it doesnt matter, but all 3 goals against Egypt were pretty ugly - 2 of them against a goalie who looked completely out of it. Somehow they managed to sneak by Spain; a combination of terrible finishing by Spain and some good defense by the US... you have to score to win and Spain couldnt put any of their myriad of opportunities into the net.4.2 Weighted GPA?So, I am going to Boston College this fall, and I plan to major in finance in its Carroll School of Management.
So, to those who have been to college, how difficult was it? I basically owned high school (ended my senior year with a 4.2 GPA for the year), but I am wondering how much more difficult college would be in comparison with high school. And keep in mind, I am a business major, so I would love to hear perspectives from people who have majored or are majoring in business in college.
Any thoughts?

Also,Gasol did the right thing by shooting it. If he didn't, the dangerous Magic team can shoot a three and it would only be a three point game.3.4 seconds left I dont see the Magic fouling him - if they do they they're down by 6, Gasol at the line with sub 2 seconds left in the game? Yea right thats called rubbing it in where I play ball, and honestly I would have clocked him while he was hanging on the rim.ASK_Story
[QUOTE="p2rus"]Lack of sportsmanship by Gasol at the end of the game... your up by 6 with 3.4 hold onto the ball - I lost a lot of respect for him thereASK_StoryWhat the heck are you talking about!? Mikael Petrius whacked him in the back when Gasol was going up for the dunk! If Gasol didn't hang on the rim, he would've feel backwards and maybe hit his head on the floor! It was Petrius who made the cheap shot. Gasol was just trying to secure the lead. Petrius got a flagrant. Why do you think Gasol shot a extra free throw? Don't blame Gasol for getting angry. No no - Petrius went for Gasol because Gasol dunked the ball - the good sportsman dribbles the clock out (3.4 seconds left you dont dunk the ball when there's no one anywhere near you)... Petrius's foul I believe was in reaction to Gasol's decision to dunk the ball, which was extremly unsportsmanlike. Theres no question that was unnecessary.
