I want to get a PS4 for myself for Christmas but can't afford it and a new TV on top of that.

My question is, I have a Sharp 20 inch TV that displays at 1080i max, and I know most games now output at full 1080p, will games I get have to be output at the full 1080p? Or will they still display at 1080i?

Really hoping for a US release, especially after we got snubbed from the Portable 3rd release which is sadly still Japan exclusive and now playable on the PS3 and Vita, but I suppose translation patches will have to do for now.

Since I cannot edit my original post, this game does indeed take place after Metal Gear Solid 4, please disregard point #2 as that information is incorrect, I apologize.

Reading over new and past comments here in this article Metal Gear Solid: Rising resurfaces, nobody has been paying any attention the past 2 years have they?

Here's a small history lesson to keep you up to date:
1. Back in 2009-2010 Kojima released a teaser trailer for a game called Metal Gear Solid: Rising, with the tag line Lightning Bolt Action, replacing Tactical Espionage Action.

2. This game follows Raiden, big shocker there, in his story set between Metal Gear Solid 2 and Metal Gear Solid 4, this game will flesh out what happened to him in between these games and how he became a cyborg soldier.

3. The title has, now pay attention here, the title has been changed "from" Metal Gear Soild: Rising, to Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.
Now notice how Solid has been removed from the title, the reason being is that Solid Snake/Old Snake will not be in this game as a main character.

4. Lightning Bolt Action defines the core gameplay, lightning fast reflexes and moves being pulled off rather than stealth as the series is known for, if this were a stealth game it would have kept the tagline Tactical Espionage Action, but it didn't.

So remember this is not a stealth oriented game, if you can't get over that then don't bother picking up this game if and when it is released.

Don't like it? Don't buy it, but don't ever dare call yourself a Kojima fan if you doubt his actions now.

I would like to stress that I am not trying to be a whiteknight, but people don't like to listen more than half the time to other people, I just hope this clears up any misconceptions people have about the game it's self.

Now Wikipedia places this game as taking place after Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, this hasn't been proven yet as the new trailer still only followed Raiden and didn't reveal much more beyond another Metal Gear, what looked to be a Ray model, and another cybernetic soldier, so please disregard Wikipedia's information with prejudice.

Alot of near bad talk about the game in my opinion, exactly what about the game was bad?

To me, nearly nothing was wrong with it; the game looked amazing, played like a dream, and the powers were fun and interesting and the story was awesome and kept you guessing until the end.

Sure it wasn't a game that was gonna be everybodies cut of beef, but, to each his/her own.

Any RE game designed for hand held except the DS version, so that's the Game Boy version way back when, and also Resident Evil Survivor, that horrible on rails shooter on the original Playsation, nice idea back then, but terribly done.

Halo is too cliche of a game to get, " Oh it's the best FPS out there!"

My foot it is, I seem to recall the more recent COD 4 and Bioshock, those are some good FPS games with cajones; but all spatter aside, BioShock, can't go wrong with that.

Can't avoid Dead or Alive 4 or Extreme 2, I mean dude come on, you have to collect all of those swimsuits; and I think the 360 versions of Guitar Hero III and Aerosmith are better than their super bright and shiney PS3 counterpart.

I dunno, I can't really suggest alot of games, I usually go by word of mouth from experts or the game mags, or whatever seems like fun playing.
