Now this is going to be tricky cause it is a video. So anyone can simply skip to the end and see all the surprises. I assume everything will be leaked before it even hits. So I say lets try to watch it as close to live as possible.dvader654
It's pre-recorded, but still a live stream. No downloading or skipping possible. No difference from a conference, except for no live audience or unfortunate gaffes. HYPE!

Revolution might have fewer weapons, but every single one of them has a huge impact on the game, it's several levels above anything possible in terms of tactics and diversity in anything Worms be it 2D or 3D, it especially gets rid of the stupid death on just touching the water, as for Armageddon, sorry to say this, but if something good 13 years ago slowly turns into the same garbage they released several years later, that is not what I consider Armageddon. Worms World Party was terrible, so is Armageddon 2012, Reloaded was decent, same with Mayhem, Revolution however pushes the standards and gameplay, I never thought Team 17 would be good enough to make such an excellent game.DanielDust
Man, are you confused... Armageddon is championed for its excellent weapon balance. Aside for some overpowered superweapons (which are incredbly FUN to use), every weapon is useful, even weak ones like the Handgun, Mortar, and Prod. It depends on the situation, and with my experience I can tell you that these situations DO come up. And in Revolution, the base water still kills instantly. The new dynamic water (more like a collection of slimy blobs), used on the map itself, doesn't. Again, WA has always used exactly the same engine as WWP. If you hated WWP, you must have hated the original WA (which is this release). I can take my 1999 WA CD-ROM, install it, apply the latest 3.7.2.1 update, and have the Steam release (they're 100% cross-compatible online, BTW). Same physics, weapons, and maps as always, but with additional features like giant maps, mod plugins, and full Windows 7/modern hardware compatibility. And various gameplay differences due to it actually being World Party with Armageddon maps, you try too hard, but even the developers released it as Armageddon 2012, a remake.

Anyway, it's a bad investment, it's simply bad compared to Revolution any worms made so far is bad compared to it.DanielDust

You must have bad memory or something. Armageddon has always been similar to World Party. The only difference between the two besides a few maps and options is that Armageddon has kept on receiving updates all this time since 1999. And although Revolution uses 3D graphics and fancy water weapons, it has slower gameplay, looser physics, fewer weapons, and fewer options.

Just be careful what you buy, this is not the Armageddon you like, this is the 2012 remake and since it's more of a World Party, it has nothing on Revolution, not even the original Armageddon.DanielDust
Please don't spread misinformation. This IS the original 1999 Armageddon. Not a port, not a sequel, not a remake, the ORIGINAL. With updates for larger maps, better online functionality, and bugfixes. The only thing missing is the original ranking system, which hasn't existed for many years due to cheaters (edit: which also don't exist anymore :P).

Previously only available on CD-ROM and as a pre-order bonus for the all-new Worms Revolution, this 1999 classic considered the best in the Worms series has finally come out of hiding, and with full updates too!! http://store.steampowered.com/app/217200/ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zygj6Mf0FhA The North American price is $14.99. WA has never stopped receiving updates, and still has a healthy online community. So get ready to drop your French Sheep Strike, fire your Magic Bullet, and release your Mole Bomb! The penultimate War of the Worms has begun once again! :)

Nevermind. I just found out that a small but crucial white plastic pin had broken off, so I'll have to get a new faceplate. :(
