I don't know why but I really want one that is set in Mongolia during Genghis Khans rule. I feel that if they did it right it would work really well.

Microsoft repeated recently that they have a full exclusivity contract with the first Mass Effect, so it can't come to PS3. It's not quite the same as Ninja Gaiden II, where only a publishing agreement was in place. I'm pretty sure that if there was a way, EA and Bioware would have made a double pack and/or made the first game for PS3 before 2.

MAILER_DAEMON

Didn't EA publish mass effect on the pc in 2008? If so couldn't EA just bring their version to the ps3?

My guess is DMC5. Is it just me, or is it that the odd number DMC's are just the best out of the series? lol Well here's hoping DMC5 continues that cycle. JCMac120

I want DMC5 as much as the next person but what was wrong with DMC4? I thought it was a very good game, not as good as 3 but still.

It is really not scary at all. Honestly I think Half Life 2 is scary than Resident evil 4. The regenerators might scare you a little but it is mainly because you hear them before you see them.

[QUOTE="2eachhisownmask"] The same design flaw as using unleaded solder, inadequate heat dispersion, and insufficient cooling system. Whether it endangers the lives of users is irrelevant. I didn't buy a car to play video games on it, nor did I buy a console to drive it. I bought it so I can play on it 15 hrs a day if I so choose. That's what it was made for and that's what it should be able to handle. It because of the nation of sheeple we can no longer find real standards, - Oh,10% or 15% of console failure is acceptable. Acceptable by whom? The same people who are endorsing gaming industry? Or acceptable by brainwashed gamers who now argue Sony's point of view, till one of their own 2 year-old consoles dies because they were made with such high standards in mind. I will not stop until i drive myself, Sony and everyone else in here absolutely crazy!!!!

10-15% isan acceptablefail rate because it is operatorfailure. When the system over heats it is not a faulty console it is the owner not takingcare oftheir prouduct and since the vast majority of ps3 faliures are due to over heating it is notsony's fault buttheowner's.

I have a question. I know there are people like me who kept their PS3 as cool and took care of it as good as possible and still relieved the YLOD how is it still the owners fault? isnt that a design flaw?

Acutally the YLOD is caused by overheating. What happens is that sometimesthe system will overheat and whenthe person goes to turn the systemoff the console getsstuck in the on and off postition becausethe insidehas overheated way too much. There is only oneyellow light on the ps3and that isthe hdd indicator sowhen theconsole getsstuck in the on and off position theon and off lights combine to make ayellow light. Now toanswer theproblem thatif someone takes the best of carehowcan itfail sadly it issomething very small, dust,It is best toTRY tokeep dust out of the system becasue this can casue it to overheat much quickerthan usual.

[QUOTE="Stumpt25"][QUOTE="2eachhisownmask"] No, but I would expect and demand of Toyota to fix the faulty brakes issue, even if my Corolla was out of warranty. At their expense. The same goes for Chevy or any other manufacturer.

2eachhisownmask

Yes but the Toyota problem is a fundamental flaw in the design, which endangers the lives of road users. As it is, there is no fundamental flaw in the PS3's design, and you are one of the very few people that has any kind of issue. Don't be deceived by your own poll because it's an unrepresentative sample of people. And even if we put your Toyota argument aside, if we go by your logic then there is no point of any product having a warranty at all. Stop QQing because your PS3 broke. It's nobody's fault. Buy a new one or stop complaining.

[QUOTE="odoyle420"]

I have just a couple of things to point out here.

1. As some people have already mentioned you are using a poll of 86 people to represent you case, 86 people can't give a representation of the ps3 fail rate when there are some where around 36 million ps3 in use right now.

2. Are you saying that sony intentionally designed the ps3 to fail after warrenty? That is what I got out of it, please explain it to me if I misread it.

3. The ps3 as a fail rate of somewhere around 10-15% that is perfertly excepable since the vast majority of the systems still work. It was just bad luck that you got the ps3 that you did.

4. A few people have asked you about the conditions you kept your ps3 in but you never answered. Can you please give the conditions?

2eachhisownmask

1. I agree that the poll on GS is not representative of the true picture. According to Square Trade, the failure rate is 11%, but they speculate it might be slightly higher.

2. I am not saying that Sony intentionally did anything and I'm not saying they didn't. I'm speculating, since so many people are having these issues, it just seems probable, that's all

3. Addressed in 1.

4. My PS3 was kept on a single glass shelf, 1 inch wider then the console, as a stand alone, with absolutely no obstructions on nether side, with about 6 inches of extra space on the side attached to the wall. It had about 4 inches of space between itself and the glass table above it, where my HDTV is placed. Hope this helps.

1st I would like to thank you for addressing each of my points.

1. The idea that sony if programing the consoles to fail after warranty is just crazy. If they were doing thatthey would have been caught by now.

2. IF you do choose to get a new ps3 it is best to give a ps3 about 1 foot of space around it that way there is little to no chance of over heating. The wayyou had it there is chance offailure due toover heatingso you might not want to jump on theits sony's fault wagon until you can be 100% sure it wasn't you.
