[QUOTE="Zoso-8"]Sorry to say, but it's a bad trend for hardcore gamers. It's just the 'it' thing to buy these days, just like the iPod was.NinjaMunkey01

What does a "hardcore music listener" listen to?

Clearly you missed my point entirely. My point is that while the iPod was obviously the strongest portable music device sales-wise (by alot), but was it infact the best in terms of quality and performance? I doubt it. It sold because it was a fad. You could argue the same about the Wii.

I laugh at this because you're wrong on so many points. The iPod was not the only mp3 player out on the market at the time. This is a fact, nobody disputes it. However, could you find one that had more than 100 megabytes? Rarely. Mp3 devices existed, but their space was so minimal, nobody bothered with them. Then came the iPod.

BAM, 5 GBs, advertised as "1,000 songs in your pocket". It sold like hotcakes because it was the best mp3 player out on the market at the time by far.

And comparing the quality and performance is really a weak argument since most mp3 players that do the job right sound identical. People buy the iPod because it had and has a foundation of quality, durability, portability, and reliability.

I am geting a new mp3 player but I would never get an ipod. The sound quality is not the best, you cant notice it with headphones that come with the mp3, but with good ones you can. Plus the screen on it is too small to watch anything.

You remind me of a friend I once had. She saw that I had an iPod. She asked if she could look through it, and I told her all right.

"You don't have any podcasts on here?!"

Me>>No.

"You don't have any videos either?!"

Me>>No.

She seemed in disbelief that my MP3 PLAYER didn't have videos or podcasts. I bought it for music, and that's what I'm going to listen to. I don't see the appeal to watching something on a tiny screen like that. Also I don't buy really expensive headphones, so I guess I'm at no loss for quality. Also needless to say I'm not friends with her anymore.

This is usually my view on things without all the name-calling. Heck, I don't even like the label "gamer", much less "hardcore gamer".

And anything I can think of? Even the Nintendo Wii? The Nintendo Wii is better than the Nintendo Wii?

Lempel also pointedly pointed out that the PlayStation Store interface has "a lot of room with virtual shelf space to put a lot of things," Eric Lempel

This is a great explanation.

Weird, IGN gave it a 9.0 ... :?Haziqonfire
There's no way I would give it a 6, but 9 is too high. An 8 is appropriate. Seriously, I have the game and have already beaten it, and I can still say it's loads of fun. The music quality is high for a DS game (I have other DS games that involve licensed music) so I have no clue what AT is talking about when he says it sounds like it's coming out of a radio. Sometimes I wonder if he even played the game, because he calls it "Guitar Hero: World Tour" (a.k.a. Guitar Hero 4) in the review.
