Did you try reconnecting your wiimote and altering the settings (screen centre, sensitivity, etc.)? How big is your tv screen?clicketyclick

Yes, I did reconnect and alter the settings. My tv is 27", and I'm sitting about 6 feet away or so. It should also be noted that I've been playing my Wii since I got it (I got it just a couple months after it came out) and have logged many many many hours playing it, in the same exact spot on the couch, night and day, blinds open and shut, on many different games, and never had this problem. So far, no word from Nintendo about this...

Okay, so it happened again last night when I was fighting Ghor. I think it is a signal loss problem, but the buttons still work even when the wiimote won't move Samus right and left (also up and down, it turns out) I again tried all the same things: moving the sensor bar, closing the blinds (thanks for the tip) changing the batteries, getting closer and further away, etc. I am going to email nintendo to see what they say about it. Maybe my Wiimote is going out.

True, graphics aren't as important as gameplay, but when you have a situation where one system has graphics capabilities not on par with the other major systems out there, then 3rd party devs will be more reluctant to port a "downgraded" version for that system. I do believe that is what is happening with the Wii, and it stinks. No game = No gameplay. Looks to me that gameplay is being affected.

All I can think of is when you are targeting him and he breaks free of your lock and you are still holding Z so you stay facing that direction and can't turn. But I doubt that's what you're doing.

Right, it wasn't that. Also, my cursor was green (not yellow, indicating a loss of signal) but still I tried getting closer, getting further away, moving the sensor bar, changing the batteries. Maybe it was just a fluke.

What are you controls set on? There's like 3 sensativity levels right? Use advanced, it's the one closest experience to a mouse and keyboard fps set up.Chojuto

I had my settings at normal, I just switched them to advanced. Of course, now I'm done with Rundas so I can't really go back and retry that to see if it helped

Just spent about 3 hours trying to beat Rundas on Bryyo in Metroid Prime 3. My question is this: is there supposed to be a point during the fight where you aren't able to turn left and right? Kind of a rhetorical question. My Wiimote works fine; it has plenty of battery juice. It works great in other games, in the map screen for MP3, before and after the fight, everywhere, it's fine. Even when I walk over into the kitchen, I can still control it all fine (well sort of). But not when I'm fighting Rundas at pivitol moments; when lots of stuff is flying around and you're about to make some crucial shots, it's as if the controls are just... sluggish. (and btw, I'm not refering to being encased in ice, btw). Anyone else experience this? Please don't tell me that the controls get sluggish when there is a lot of stuff going on in the game.

Sweet, Rygar. I had no idea it was coming for the Wii. That was bar far one of my fav games when I was a kid. Of course, we all know there is a huge difference between side scrolling classis and their new 3-d remakes. Still, I'll keep my eyes peeled for this one.

I've had the Wii pretty much from day 1, but I only own 4 games (not including Wii Sports) I've been mostly renting games, the number of which has been very high. My fav is probably Twilight Princess, but I've been determined to get into SMG lately.
