I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's ever encoutered this problem. When I play Spider-man Web of shadows on my laptop, & I enjoy swinging around places alot, but while I'm swinging the game often hangs (stops moving for a second or two) then moves normal again then hangs again.

Plus the game automtically switches my Windows 7 aero to windows 7 basic.

What surprises me more is that games like Crysis & Assassins creed works fine on my laptop, and a lesser game like Web of shadows is having a hard time.:?

Does anybody know what the problem is here & if theres a solution?

its a crummy console port.. i have similar issues with TFU1 & 2

The problem lies with your CPU. The game really needs a quad core to run smoothly. A dual core will struggle, especially one running at 2.2GHz.

If you're not in a position to upgrade at the moment, I suggest you overclock your CPU.

You should be aware that GTA4 is one of the most horribly optimised games of recent times, so don't be disheartened when it lags. It happens to a lot of us.

But now for some good news: you should be fine to run Mafia II. Give the demo a try first just to be sure.

Crysis 2, if I could go back I wouldnt have baught it. Ill never play the game again and I didnt really enjoy it that much when I did play it.

Also: C&C4, Far Cry 2, AVP3 and ...OFPDR.
