@craigtl: The "looks" are intentional. The original movies came out in the 80's and the characters are designed in that style. Each one being a horror movie trope like the Loner, the Last Girl, the Jock or the Preppy guy.

@pattonc @linthes999 It's the Dynasty Warrior problem. It looks dumb but if all 80 people just attacked you at once you'd die every time, there'd by no combat option you'd have to do stealth.
