Never watched this until just now....the gameplay parts they show look correct, but the CGI for the cutscenes don't look that good in the game. All cutscenes I went through when playing the game looked no different than the normal character models you interact with and control.

I tried giving this game a go. Awful, just awful. Maybe I didn't give the game enough of a chance, but after about 4 hours of in game time and at least half of that time is spent watching cut scenes and the remaining of that time is spent slowly running from point A to point B to make a delivery.....

No thanks. Not for me. I don't have the patience to be a slow running delivery boy. Even Phillip J Fry got a peddle bike to use on his pizza deliveries.

@godofheck42: The 3080 Ti launched back in June of 2021, it's been out 15 months.

The new gens always come out around 18-24 months after the previous one. Take the RTX 2080 - launched September 2018. The RTX 3080 released September 2020. GTX 1080 was released May of 2016. Keep going back?

GTX 980 released September of 2014.

GTX 780 released May of 2013.

The only reason one would need to upgrade is if their current hardware isn't performing to their standards. I gamed on a 980Ti for 6 years. I gamed on two GTX 570s in SLI for 5 years and two GTX 280s before that for 3. I personally find the advancement in hardware intriguing even if I have no reason to upgrade.

I have a 3080, been using it for about a year now. I have zero reasons to upgrade anytime soon.

@bdrtfm: It may be that they are looking to perhaps go with AMD or possible Intel in the future, it just may be they have to break contract obligations with Nvidia first. Also, it's very possible they just couldn't solidify any kind of deal with AMD or Intel until after they cut ties with Nvidia or they weren't able to line anything up for this generation since things are already in motion for AMD and Intel.

I've enjoyed EVGA cards for years. I had a lot of cards from them. 7600 GT, 2x 8800 GTS 640MB (I actually made use of the Step Up program when the G92 model came out) 2x 8800 GTS 512MB, GTX 570, RTX 3060 and RTX 3060 Ti. Never had an issue with any of them.

I've also had PNY, Zotac and ASUS cards in there as well, but EVGA was the most common brand I've used.

EVGA kept the prices lower than other AiB during all the price hikes for the 3000 series, that's what I admired about EVGA the past few years, trying to keep pricing down compared to the competition.

Also, the EVGA queue allowed people to obtain GPUs without having to spend that extra $100-500 that other AiB would have cost them, depending on the model of the GPU. I think EVGA is mostly tired of Nvidia's shit and clearly just wants to get away from it.

This brings AiB for Nvidia down to: Zotac, MSI, Gigabyte, PNY and ASUS

AiB for AMD is: ASRock, ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, Sapphire and XFX.

I wonder how this will impact availability of GPUs and even prices......

Only having played about 3 hours, the parkour feels like I have fairy wings on and when I jump they flutter to keep me floating through the air and slowly decend.

The parkour sucks in this game. The combat feels like crap, too, when compared to the first Dying Light. I wouldn't have thought that the same studio that made Dying Light would screw up the second game so much.

I didn't pay any of my actual money for the game. Doing the MS Bing rewards stuff daily I've been earning points and through those points I pick up $5 Amazon gift cards (every 5,250 points). I have been doing the bing rewards for a good amount of time and I was sitting on $90 in Amazon gift cards so I used that money towards picking up the game.

I spent maybe 30 hours playing it and grew bored of it. WoW Classic is a much better game and I don't really like WoW. At least WoW felt more fleshed out and entertaining over New World.

Don't take my word for it though, if you find the interesting enough to want to try - it's a good time to get a copy while it's on sale.

@Art3Zero:

I only hit level 35 and I got bored. Even with having a few friends that were playing the game, it wasn't able to keep our attention. We all just got bored of it.

I'd rather spend my time playing Aion - which I loved playing when it initially launched. I don't really care for it since it went F2P, yet I'd rather be playing Aion over New World.

I enjoyed WoW when it first launched. I played up right to the release of the first expansion.

If I had a lot of spare time, I wouldn't mind checking the game out again as I remember having played it.
