I'm kinda' with @CyberLips We were kids and it was, "Wow!"

I still game, definitely more than watch movies. I haven't bothered with TV in ages; I only know about it via my roommate always having his TV on in the living room. So gaming is still my main choice for entertainment. But I spend less money on games, game in shorter bursts (30 minutes max at any time), and am more picky about what games I'll buy and play.

And, having been a PC gamer for almost 5 years, DRM-free is preferred (GOG, GamersGate, DotEmu, some of Amazon's stuff). When I do tolerate DRM it's only via Steam: only if it's an exclusive and only if it's $20 or less.

It's giving me similar problems. Just a big blank space where the embedded video should be.

Toughie.

I can go with spinach or carrots.

If the way the vegetable is prepared isn't an issue? Sun dried tomatoes. I've got a major weakness for sun dried tomatoes.

Yeah. Like X-Mas, it's become more about companies trying to sell you stuff than anything else. Last time I checked, we didn't need a specific day of the year to validate our sexual relationships.

My first time here at the Cafe Lounge. Caffeine Works... Ironically, I'm sipping a Pike Roast (Starbucks) and have a low-carb Monster in my backpack.

Great thread! I've decided to get a DSi! Can someone suggest any good games for the DS?Oil_rope_bombs

Disgaea DS, Lunar Knights, Chrono Trigger (you're probably already a fan of that one), Castlevania Portrait of Ruin (heir to Symphony of the Night's throne), Bleach Dark Souls, Mario Kart DS, Mega Man ZX (tough as nails, but fun), Resident Evil Deadly Silence (RE1 remake with some cool extras)... May I continue?

I'm with my DS lite. DSi is nice, but 2 crappy cameras and DSiware's parlor games just don't compare to the GBA library. I really do hope that Nintendo starts adding GBA's library to the 3DS' list of downloadables. To think that Nintendo would just throw away an awesome catalogue like that is sickening.

I'm fully aware of how planned obsolescence works: kill off the hardware and nix backward compatibility -this is supposed to force consumers into "new" stuff that we may not actually want. Well, as it stands, these practices are actually turning me away from dedicated gaming devices. I've already ditched consoles because of it. Now I may end up ditching handhelds as well. Looks like PC gaming is slowly gaining me as a consumer. Especially the oldie-goldies. At least I can still play them whenever I upgrade. Dedicated gaming devices rarely provide that.
