New to Xbox

by on

Hi everyone!

I just bought an Xbox 360 limited edition Halo 4 console today. I am really excited to own an Xbox again as I haven't had one since the original. I was wondering if anyone can recommend me some great xbox exclusives and or games that run really well on the xbox more so than any other console. Feel free to add me my gamertag is Professor Rance.

Thank you Users of Gamespot

I wanted to thank all the users at gamespot.

I have recently gone through a devastating break up and my life has literally been flipped in more ways than one. I am severely depressed and have been clinically depressed for about a year. I don't have anyone to talk to and coming on gamespot is keeping me going right now. I know I don't truly know anyone on here but if someone wants to talk about life or anything I would be more than happy to talk. If not I don't no hard feelings fellow OT'ers.

What should I read?

Hi everyone. I have a flight tomorrow to visit my family for the holidays and I wanted to get a book. I am very indecisive in choosing a book so I wanted you guys to choose one for me. The book with the most votes before I walk into the bookstore in the airport will be the winner.

1. HG Wells: A Modern Utopia

2. Yevgeny Zemyatin: We

3. William Faulkner: As I Lay Dying

4. F. Scott Fitzgerald: The Great Gatsby

5. JD Salinger: The Catcher In The Rye

6. Charles Dickens: Bleak House

7. Ernest Hemingway: A Farewell To Arms

8. Steig Larsson: The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo

Heath Ledger RIP

by on

Today, April 4th is Heath Ledger's birthday. He would have been 31 years old today not even in the prime of his acting career. We lost a terrific actor and person on January 22nd, 2008 and he still to this day is sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers still go out to his friends and family as today will be especially hard for them on this Easter weekend.

Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution

While fans and all of the gaming world are looking forward GTA and MGS that come out on april and June respectively I will however though excited about those games are looking forward to July when Sid Meiers Civilization Revolution will come out. Being a history buff this might be why im so excited about this game but being able to change history and then see its effects on the future desired or not just makes me look forward to this release. You can attempt to take over the world with such figures as Napolean, Julius Ceasar, become a peasant, fight as a knight, heck even be the president. Sid Meiers Civilization Revolution will be a sleeper come July 7th 08 but I dont believe it will continue much after the release.

Hockey

As a canadian hockey player and a goalie non the less it is not hard to see why hockey is not popular here. in the states football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, golfing, and even nascar for god sakes is watched more than hockey. i wouldnt be suprised if the water polo was watched more by americans. it is a shame that america has not come and watched a truely great game and sport.
