There are times when critics rate games inaccurately, but games rated on avg below 7.0 more than likely deserves that rating. If you truly feel a game is good despiteits low score, say 6.5, then that is cool for you. Just don't ever recommend it to me. I played quite a few games were scored very low and was frustrated with most of them. I don't like games that are unpolished, have sloppy control, or lack content. There are reasons why those games are scored low. Games that are rated low because it lacked an online feature doesn't count.mrvic87
Of course some games would be scored low because of so and so problems.
But say someone plays a game which has frustrating controls, but the plot and characters heavily outweighs the flaws, then they would enjoy the game generally in the end and most probably recommend it to someone.
I'm not trying to be mean or just tripping you with every post, but you could sayit's partly your fault for going out and getting a game with a low score, and then not liking it in the end.
I mean if someone recommends you a low-scored game, shouldn't it be a natural reaction to wonder why it was given such a score, when this gamer clearly enjoyed the game? You would then naturally find out the flaws of the game, and then decide for yourself if it'll bother you while playing.
And also, I'm going to go off a little bit.
Some games that are rated high doesn't appeal to others, as it's all a matter of preference.
Like me, I played FFVII thinking that it's going to be an awesome game with all the good reviews out there, but in the end, I just couldn't stand everything about it and completed it just for the sake of saying I've played and completed FFVII.
Same goes for God of War and you mentioned Okami as underrated?
Honestly, I feltthat it wasa hyped-up game. I played it and sure, the visuals are breath-taking, but I couldn't enjoy it like how the rest of the world did.
