The reason they are giving those old games for free is because they hold no value anymore. People have been giving them away on craigslist and ebay for years. You can usually find an old bundle that includes those games and more and you can play them right now.

Do we honestly believe people are going to open their new games and play the game from last gen before the one in their hands that they paid full price and got hyped for? Or, after they beat this new game, they are going to go back and play the last gen game that looks and plays worse? The early mods are a bigger deal, but if it's not a Destiny type and the period is only a few months, it won't really matter because it takes the average gamer so long to beat this type of game anyways.

I hear the DLC is good. I only played the vanilla game and I liked it but it's just a really good upgrade of Dead Island. Can't wait for the expansion though. It doesn't beat Bloodborne.

Funny, because the series is known for it's iconic and unique boss fights. All the way back to when MGS1 had gamers switching controller ports. People wanted more MGS, and there were less iconic boss fights, less carefully designed levels, less story, less humor, and more open-world shooter bro/destruction/obnoxious lens flare. The approach felt like they valued the engine technology over game design.

The story was bad, so bad. Quiet's rain dance/tease was cringeworthy and probably one of the most significant cutscenes in the game for some reason. The ending felt like they didn't know where to go so they went for a cheap twist and added the part at the beginning to link it all together.

Even if it launched same day on pc the community will be garbage there. FOB is already a hacker's paradise on PC.

I would've deleted the game if it wasn't for MGO. It's easier than MGS4 online but still better than MGS5 single player.

They don't have a good team to pair him up with though. It's obvious a lot of the talent that worked on mgs1-4 were MIA in 5. The game had no heart. Would take an entire generation for him to start over with a new engine and dev team. I guess MS could reduce that a bit if they bought the rights to use fox engine. MS tried giving a team to talented leaders before though, and it didn't work out.

Kojima will probably just go mobile. Makes the most sense tbh.

MGS5 is probably the worst of the main series. It's a nice tech demo but a very bad Metal Gear. Funny how MGS5 has made people appreciate MGS4 even more. I have a word document with everything they messed up or that's missing in MGS5 just off the top of my head. So many were popping up that I had to start writing them down. Would love to see the series redone with the MGS5 engine, that's the only good part about the game.

You can't manually equip the knife and stab knocked out enemies, how do they forget something like that? If I knock a guy out, but don't want to fulton him because his stats suck, but don't want him getting up and shooting me in the back, I have to wake him up and grab him or shoot him in the head. Knifeplay MIA. I couldn't even shoot radios either. They have huge backpack radios and my bullets go right through? LOL

5 is a glorified mission-based mobile game, yet it's missing co op. Hilarious. We've never seen an AAA game get backlash this fast. The ratings did more to expose critics if anythings. Proves they didn't get past mission 20 before rushing out their scores.

Did they fix the installing?

I'm not that big of a fan of mixing AI enemies in PVP online shooters. I like how it's bigger though and changes things up. I prefer big maps to arena shooters and small maps.

PS4 is a juggernaut. The 3rd entry in a franchise that has never released on playstation sells 50% on PS4. The revenue this version has generated for the gaming industry. This means PS4 is getting people who played Witcher 1 and/or 2 to switch from other platforms like PC and it's bringing in new consumers to the franchise. Wow.
