"the "vast majority" of people, at least those whose consoles are connected to Xbox Live, are playing co-op across Xbox Live, not locally."
It sounds to me that they did a really dumb interpretation of the data. I can't imagine that the "majority" of halo players never played split-screen, not even once?
Of course you're going to see more solo online players. Whenever I had the chance to play Halo, the majority of the time was on my own. So what if I only occasionally played Halo with friends through split-screen, to me that was the core value of the game. Halo wouldn't have become so popular if it weren't for that. Now there's no incentive for me to buy halo 5, because that means $900+ to play with just ONE other friend.
Also, it's not as easy as it used to be to get together to play... What? Are highschool kids more busy than 10 years ago?
Genetically modified humans almost seems inevitable. We're much closer at making humans immortal, than we are of traveling outside of our solar system. By the time we're a multi solar system species (like halo) humans will not be human anymore.
The PS3 already has enough graphic & memory power to outmatch the maximum settings for the best visual display of most games. The Xbox 360 doesn't however. This has limited a lot of gaming companies since targeting the widest market is in their best interest.
@Armysniper89 "It is the right not to have to take our screwed up world view and have to make political and ethical and religious decisions such as accepting or tolerating advances from a homosexual character in a game. People should not have to have that thrown in their face. And to finish my point you answered my biggest concern. The need for acceptance by others. I dont care what you do in your bedroom. I dont need it thrust in my face." That view is flawed and very one side minded. By that logic then if there are any advances from a heterosexual character, people shouldn't have to have that thrown in their face either. Homosexuality exists, there's no reason to hide it, I think it's a good thing for the creators to advocate pro homosexuality and challenge the audience with controversial idealisms. Being homophobic is just as bad as being racist, if you're not okay with it being thrown in your face, then i'm sorry you were raised in that way. It's still wrong, and it's not fair to to just show one sexual orientation instead of another.
Where's Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majora's mask? I feel if anything represents the series it's that game it would be ocarina of time. No other Zelda game has come close to as good as that one.
