Max Payne 3

by on

I'm going to be very dissapointed if Max Payne 3 is considerably less pretty on the PS3 than on the 360. This generation is almost over and Rockstar has not been able to make their games look good on the PS3. It's embarrassing, and single console PS3 owners usually get the worst versions, even if we have to pay the same $60.00.

It's not like they don't sell well on PS3.

The worst part is, I'll still buy the game no matter what, but for a ugly version, I should be getting a discount.

GTA IV is sweet!

by on

It's been a while since I've posted anything in gamespot, mostly because I've been busy at work. I'm happy to say that I've recently purchased a couple of cool items, one is GTA IV for the PS3, and the other is a 32' Sony Bravia HDTV. I had a few issues with the game since it wouldn't let me connect to any games online, freezing the entire console but rockstar fixed that so I'm happy to say this is one of the best games of the year. multiplayer is amazing, letting you play in the entire city is an amazing experience. The single player experience is awesome as expected, there's just so much gameplay in this game, it's great. Anyways, looking forward to next month's release of Metal Gear Solid 4.

Laters.

This is gonna be a great week!!

I'm finally getting the two games I ordered this week. Assassin's Creed limited Edition and Mass Effect are going to be arriving in the coming days and I'm very excited, specially for Assassin's Creed. Between work and playing these games, I'm thinking I should probably be saying good bye to my friends and family since I think I'll be playing these games non stop for the rest of the year. I'm just kidding.... or maybe not.

Cheers.

P.S. I'm listening Judas Priest's Angel of Retribution album and I gotta say, Wow, just Wow.

Goodbye Jeff

Gamespot's credibility is lost in the wake of Jeff's departure. He was fired because of an unfavorable review of Eidos' Kane and Lynch, apparently, his tone in the video review was the catalyst although we know that's just BS, the game is average at best and it deserved it's review. Perhaps you didn't agree with his reviews all the time, but the conditions in which he was fired make you think twice about trusting this site. I wish Jeff the best, and I thank him for not compromising his integrity.

Cheers.

Battle Ready

Hey guys, this is a very short post. I just bought Halo 3 and I'm getting started on the campaign. This is my first Halo game so I might not understand the story completely, however, the gameplay is what I'm looking forward to, specially the co-op. I hope to see you guys on the battlefield.

Cheers.

R.I.P. Bioshock

A couple of days ago, my repaired 360 turned homicidal on my copy of Bioshock. I was playing the game on my second play through when the game suddenly freezes, I wasn't surprised since in the GS review they stated that the game occasionally freezes for a few seconds and then it goes back to normal, only this time the entire console froze for a few minutes. I turned my 360 off, waited for a few minutes and then turned it back on just to find that the console couldn't play the game, it just wouldn't run. After I saw this, I opened the disk tray and started inspecting the disk from both sides, thinking that it was dust or something. When I turned the disk around I discovered a giant scratch that started from the center of the disk to the very edge. I popped the disk right back into the tray and attempted to run it for a 3rd time..... I spent the next few minutes looking at my gamer picture waiting for the game to start but nothing happened. When I took out the disk and turned it around I saw more scratches like the previous one and realized that not only was the disk scratched, it was cracked too, essentially, the disk was broken, it doesn't work anymore, and this after only a few weeks of owning it. Oh well, I managed to finish the game so I'm not angry or anything, it's just that I would have liked to finish the game again on the hardest difficulty. I'm not gonna buy the game again but it was certainly a fantastic experience while it lasted.

Turning Casual

by on

Hey guys, I know I've not been absent for over a month but it's been pretty crazy around here. Workload has gotten crazy and I find myself playing very little videogames in these past weeks, last week I only played for an hour on sunday. When I get home from work I'm usually so tired I just wanna lie down on my bed and watch some TV before I go to sleep. Somehow, I don't miss playing games as much as I thought I would, before I couldn't imagine not playing games for at least 4 hours a day, I don't know what's happening, is it perhaps that gaming in general is loosing it's appeal for me? Perhaps there aren't that many good games out right now? Am I turning into a casual gamer? Should I be ordering a Wii right now? Your thoughts.

Only good news this week.

Training week ended and I gotta say that I learned a lot, the food was great (and free 8) ) and I got to know a little more about my colleagues that work in other countries.

Aside from work, I got back my "repaired" Xbox360 :D and just purchased Forza Motorsport 2 and I'm enjoying it very much. Also game related, I just bought my PC and I gotta say it's awesome, as I wrote before on another blog, it's a Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2.40Ghz with 2GB of DDR2 Memory, a SATA 2 200GB HDD and (until Crysis is released) a X1600 512MB PCI-E card. I'm really enjoying this rig because not only is it a great machine for games but it's a fantastic machine for work. Anyways, it's a great week for me and I hope you guys are having a great week too.
