@k2theswiss I don't know if you played Planetside 2 but there's no matches per se. You basically immediately jump in the persistent world and battle a war with hundreds of other players.
@Altazen @baxwam If one doesn't give a shit about something it doesn't mean one has to be oblivious to it. On the matter at hand, I applaud hackers that did this because these devs deserved it.
@harry_james_pot @Total_mischief @SSEEXX Judging by the nature of his post I don't think he's doing any of those two things and the answer to Total's question is simple...bragging rights. Or he's simply trying to look cool on the interwebz and lying about his PC specs.
Btw, I do 3d modeling in 3ds max and I've never had problems with 8GB of RAM and I've had some multi-million-polly projects.
No point in arguing with you but I'll say this...I was a fan of CoD 1 and 2 (you know, before MW) and thought CoD 4 was a good game. When it comes to all the games that came after it, I don't hate them, but I don't like them and more importantly, I don't like their publisher so I boycott them for obvious reasons. I am not anyone's sheep and, frankly, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything since, for 5 years, CoD franchise has been stuck in 2007. Nowadays, you can find F2P FPSs that are of higher quality than CoD games. And all that milking and cloning by Activision has hurt the FPS genre in ways you can't even understand.
I'm not saying EA is golden but Activision is much worse.
Anyway, hope you understand reasons for bashing CoD and that there's really no need to be "original" about it. xD
PS: Not sure what innovation you're talking about...near-future setting? Maybe I missed something. But I hope BO2 finally breaks the mold, I really do. It would be about time.
