I don't think Nintendo were really working on this. Note that this is information relayed to the investors. If could not get this working when these similar sensors have been used in Hospitals to monitor, blood gas count and heart rate they must truly be bad developers.

That said, I believe that they simply didn't say anything and stopped work on it due to the ridicule they received when revealing it. Better to not say anything that tell people the real reason. When investors ask, well we better answer, the answer to me, might also include another reason, what possible application would this have in a game, sure monitor heart rate, why?

I think more people would get into FFXIV if they went down the free to play model. The thought though also that if you bring it to the PS4 and PS3 that it is simply included in your monthly Playstation sub would make it value for money.

Bold claims. Though it, what they showed at the Sony Press Event earlier this year, and it isn't pre-rendered then it might be close to being true. Since I have yet to see anything made by a PC look that good.

But I guess in its heart the PS4 is a PC in a manner of speaking.

MS are wanting to hit a home run with the 720 the problem is, there are only so many pitches that are available to them, is it better to get quality contact or wait for that one big one.

The only thing that will make me buy a console at launch is something I want. PS1 - FFVII, PS2 - FFX, XBOX - KOTOR, XBOX360 - Mass Effect, PS3 - Uncharted. and @grey_fox1984 is right, if there isn't anything to make people buy it, no one will buy it until good games come, see WiiU

Look out, it seems so more prevelant that the "content" is becoming exclusive or exclusively timed rather than the game. I was impressed with the PS4, need to have MS show me what the 720 can do.

To me in Australia a time when I rarely would buy used games, with the quality of the discs used in Blu-Ray I am finding myself more and more turning to them when so regularly in Australia we are screwed over when it comes to price. I even look at games that don't need to ship units down under and rely on digital distrubtion we get seriously screwed, iTunes and Steam to name but a few.

I understand that used games mean no money to publishers or developers, but there has to be a better way. Why not just provide a specific clause in the contract to enable the sale of new goods, used games sold should have a small amount returned to the original publisher or rights holder of the game. If none then all go to the company selling the game.

Dev kits are usually different beasts to the released products. So they might be making a dev kit and releasing it, which is understandable as I am sure there are devs working on projects now for the next gen consoles and a lot is up in the air until a dev kit rocks up. And MS will certainly want to know what is coming in the "Launch Window"

To me this sounds like a case of sour grapes. They didn't meet some of the dead-lines under the new management and were penalised for it. Under the old management they seemed to have a little more leeway.

Nice. Do want to see more. Bethesda are pretty good and throwing teasers with very little in it.
