My daughter is a huge fan of LBP, and has created content. How do we get a beta code? It would really make her happy.

I picked this game up yesterday and i played all night online.  This game is extremely fun.  One thing bothers me though, all the people that do not know how to start the race when they are host.  When you are host you will see the start race option on the bottom of the screen,  click on the Start Race option and select a new race so your not racing the same one over and over.   I was getting frustrated out of my mind last night with all the people that do not know how to start races cuz that completley killed it for me cuz i would have to go wait for a new game that would take another 5-10 mins.   Hopfully this is just first day problems with everyone being new but did other people seem to have this same problem?

I hosted a race for a while and although I had pushed the proper start race button the server did not start the race, rather scrolling "waiting for other players". Must be a server (Playstation Network) issue. Getting started in online play and reentering races has been VERY BUGGY thus far!!!

For motorstorm players other than myself, do you think there is a difference between different car models within the same class?  For example, in the rally car class, are Patriot Surgers faster than Patriot Renegades or the Italia car?  Or are these just for aesthetic appeal only and not performance?WongB

For me the Patrior Renegade is ill suited to bumpy courses due to its limited ground clearance and minimal suspension travel. Although acceleration is strong, it seems to be averse to bumps and hard to recover from near wrecks. Maybe Evolution included it to appease the NASCAR fan base...

I would also like input from accomplished players about their favorite rides in classes and in general.

[QUOTE="Radiozo"]Yeah. 8 tracks. Takes a few hours then youve seen it all :)crashintome202
ehh i dont really think thats worth $60 for then

Wonder if Radiozo has completed all levels and played online in "a few hours"??!!?? Racing games are not FPS games with the focus on maps, etc. A skilled player can beat a first person shooter in a matter of hours as well. So for me it is about the excitement and adrenilin rush of gameplay. The only other of my 9 ps3 games that can compare to Motorstorm for fun is Resistance FOM online play. Need for speed carbon, Ridge Racer 7, and the new Formula One CE are sterile and unexciting by comparison to Motorstorm.

Buy Motorstorm today!!! $60 well spent.

I would give motorstorm no more than 5 of 10. I have never seen a game with this little content. Games for NES had more content 20 years ago. Way overrated game. Twice as many tracks and a bunch of different modes and it would have been great. Radiozo

Perhaps content is "limited" because of the sophistication of the programming required to create a game with such incredible physics, detailed graphics, stable framerate, etc. Certainly any game can use refinements and addtional content. How long does one expect to be entertained for $60?

Personally my initial impression of Motorstorm is great, although I am not sure how my satisfaction with the content, variety, etc. will hold up over time. Can one really expect ANY game to meet bleeding-edge technical parameters while providing unparalled content? There is a finite amount of time to develop games due to financial considerations, market conditions, competition, etc. Motorstorm took two years to develop...certainly if Motorstorm developers wasted two years creating primitive code for NES their efforts would produce more "content" than ever, but would it sell and who would play it?

Why do you care what a game gets for a review score. Do you like the game? If so then good. Don't let other people make a choice for you. If you like something then so be it. Shouldn't you be playing the game instead of griping about the score it got?mfarris2006

This is the most insightment and mature comment I have seen. It is all about what is fun for the individual! There are so many ridiculuous comments by zit-faced immature fanboys on many forums that a comment like this is overdue and refreshing. It points out what drives my methodology in assessing games... what do I like? I utilize web reviews like gamespot as a general guide, not the gospel. NO ONE, not even a professional, can tell me what "pushes my buttons".

I play on a high-end 50" HDTV with excellent surround sound setup. Wonder how many fanboys even know what hdmi is or have set up their own wireless network. Our own personal opinions are the only thing that REALLY matters, no matter how founded in fact they may or may not be. Others' opinions are of little concern when I pick up the controller.

AGREED!!!! How could RidgeRacer score higher? Motorstorm online needs refinement and more participation, however. Otherwise, its the only of my 8 ps3 games that gets any play other than Resistance online ranked games...

Sorry for the multiple posts but i am having a BrainStorm... Why allow only player hosted/specified games? Why not have random "ranked" games controlled by the servers with auto start after a period of time for those that want to play NOW? Once again, refer to Resistance which has both custom (player originated) and "ranked" games which are more random and purportedly match you with those of similar ability...

Seems to me that the online servers could match you automatically with a race    which you can actually join in a reasonable period of time!!! Also need to be able to sort the online races by status, track, vehicles, etc. Maybe evolution studios needs to pick up a copy of Resistance FOM and learn about online play!!!...
