Lunar, Hexyz Force, and CGS are all good games... But I don't get why no one suggested Breath of Fire 3. That's the most classic turn-based RPG you can get in the PSP. Its a port of the PSX game of the same name. and its REALLY good. I suggest buying it, and it isn't really expensive nowadays cuz its pretty old already ^_^.

Crisis Core DID live up to my expectations. It was the sole reason I bought my PSP 2 years ago:lol:. I agree that it had a pretty lifeless feeling but the story and music were both top-notch. The best thing I loved about the game was the Summon FMVs. Too cool to NOT watch .
1. Yeah you can stick with your favorite 3 but I had some problems when the time came for me to change my party leader to one you are not using much(you'll see soon enough) 2. Level materia by equipping them. How fast your materia grow depends on your current equipment. Sometimes there are equips with "triple" materia growth in which it'll level up thrice as fast! Neat huh. 3. Vincent Valentine can be recruited as soon as you arrive in Nibelheim. Yuffie can be recruited from forests. And one helpful tip: as soon as you get those HP+ materias or any other status+ materia, LEVEL THEM UP! They're really useful. well thats it! hope that helped :D.
I am playing this game on the PSP for the first time and I have a few questions....
1. There's many characters to choose from but can I only stick with my favorite 3 and level them only? Or do I have to keep all of them leveled?
2. How do I level up materia? All of them seem to have only one star.
3. Any other hints or tips I should know? (I am still on disc one)
Thanks in advance1076751
It'd be great if they can port Final Fantasy X to the PSN, I always wanted to play FF10 on the go :). But the problem is the PSP's hardware currently CAN NOT support the same capabilities of the PS2.
But the day will come (don't ask me, i dunno when xD) when we will be able to play PS2 (and I hope PS3) games on our PSPs, its already been made possible by the PS1 ports right? When PSP2 releases, I hope we get PS2 games compatibility, that'd be UBER COOL!
Well we all know Link has been in countless games, and maybe SE HATES Link! If you're asking why, try playing FF1 (gba or psp version) and look at the graveyard in one town there (forgot the name) and you will see "Here lies Link". I laughed 1 minute straight after seeing that .
Ok... my opinion is that Cloud's better, Cloud has been in a uber-cool movie (FF7 AC) and has a very bad-ass antagonist (Seph) which can pwn link xD. Sorry nintendo fans but I just think Cloud's better :).
Remember the Choco Mog summon materia in FF7? I pick that that that!!! :)
No but seriously I can't pick between the moogle or the chocobo, but since the chocobo has been around longer than the moogle, I pick that :D.
[QUOTE="megatonB"]Yep you're correct, the DMW is very random, but later in the game the odds of having a picture or number match is better. And as for levelling up, its NOT random, there's some kind of invisible experience bar which fills as you kill enemies. BTW, I hope you don't mind me asking, but did you try playing other FF games already?mack10Yea i've played quite a bit of them, why do you ask? /QUOTE] I was asked because i was gonna ask your opinion on CC, but you said it already :lol. glad you're enjoying the game! ^_^
Final Fantasy - NES, PS1, GBA, PSP Final Fantasy II - NES, PS1, GBA, PSP Final Fantasy III - NES, DS Final Fantasy IV - SNES, PS1 (I think), GBA, DS Final Fantasy V - SNES, GBA, PS1 Final Fantasy VI - SNES, GBA, PS1 Final Fantasy VII - PS1, PC Final Fantasy VIII - PS1, PC Final Fantasy IX - PS1 Final Fantasy X - PS2 Final Fantasy XI - PC, PS2, X360 (not sure bout x360) Final Fantasy XII - PS2 That's it for the mainline FF ^_^.
