What I mean by that is, if you get shot in the head. You die. same for chest. Leg shot would slow you or even ground you waiting for team to pull you to safety. Ect. Something that is slow paced and methodical. Team work would be a must. (ARMA sorta is like that but not really).

Bonus points if you can get up against cover, (rainbow six style) and peak around it(preferably not being able to see around a corner your character should not be able to see around. Both multiplayer and single player (or both) games are acceptable.

I will also say Mass effect. I recommend starting with the first one and working your way to the third one. One of the most immerse games I have ever played in its genera. The S.T.A.L.K.E.R game he said is also well worth a look at. But ill just list off some of the ones I liked.

Doom 3

The fallout series

Star Wars Knights of the old republic and squeal the sith lords.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed

Metro 2033

All the half life games

The resident evil series.

some of these do focus on action but and some more based around action but all are immersive IMO. Yeah a few of these are older games but still very good games.

I was just watching a really good movie about how the true mideval times were and it got me thinking. I would love to play a game set in that time period. So My question is do any of you know a good game in this time period.

I am looking for something without spells, wizards and fantasy in general. As for genera, while I would prefer open world, i would settle for MMO, RTS, Action.

Games that I have played already That fit this are the mount & blade games, Rome total war(think that was the name, was awhile ago) and all the assassins creed games, tho most of them are not quite in the period im looking for minus the first one. Most the others I can find all seem to have some element of fantasy. Really looking for something based in reality. Being based in history would be even better. I also do not mind when the game game out, came out in 1999 you say? awesome. Coming out next year? thats cool also. Thanks in advance.

Ok as far as essentail goes its a matter of personal prefrence. But once you have completed the main story arc, there is a great mod out there that feels like DLC. (ALL dlc required i think). Its called mothership zeta crew. Has lots of adons for it also. http://fallout3.nexusmods.com/mods/8747 It is one of the best mods I have ever played and almost feels like it could be its own game. Has a great story line also. Note: the story line was not finished at the time i played it, unsure if it ever got finished but i know its still being worked on from reading on the nexus. Just some quick info about it, it adds a new faction to the game and you get to be in charge of your own spaceship/army. Sorta like an exspansion to mothership zeta dlc. Never the less its a must have for me. Did i mention you get to ride around in your own mini ship? (not fly, ride. just like the vertibirds, think thats what they were called.)

/End mini wall of text.

[QUOTE="megagamer0193"]

This topic has been debated and debated and there will always be two sides to the fence. Piracy is wrong and is a form of theft. Given I am sure everyone has pirated something at one point or another, be it knowing or unknowing. No one can say they have never downloaded that lone song or youtube video. Just downloading winrar and using is pass the trial could be considered priracy if you get technicall. No I do not condone piracy but I do see it becoming more common as the economy and prices of games worsen. As for the standpoint of a company, if they said hey we are going to start charging 1000$ for our games. That would still not justify breaking the law to get it. It would simply mean its time to look other places for games. As for the comparison of piracy to stealing a car, its two completely different things. Value being the major thing, but mostly. one is something you can touch while the other is not. Despite these debates priacy will never be stopped, it may be slowed but not stoped as people will always find a way. If they do somehow stop it, I only see people going to more extreme mesures to get it( physical stealing of the product).

I guess to respond to the main question "Do you justify piracy over arrogance of software companys"? No I do not.

My sentiments exactly.. But one thing I find funny about what you said. You said physically stealing the copy was a more "extreme measure", but I'm pertty sure the punishments for physically taking it from the store are much smaller than stealing it digitally. I'll never understand that, but I guess one is on a larger scale.

To clarify my statement, when i call it more extreme it is because stealing physical copy's of stuff usually are also tied in with other crimes such as assault and even murder.

I can see how this is the future, I personally do not like this move towards super awesome graphics because alot of times it comes at the sacrifice of gameplay. If they still made games that looked like snes id play them lol. I have a 32bit OS on one computer and a 64bit OS on my work computer. until now its apeared I would be able to keep the two seperate. This move is gonna make me have to have both computers upgraded. I am ok with this of course. I just hope all the attention to improving graphics does not nerf game play.

for me this video is my thoughts on the ending http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MlatxLP-xs

I agree 100% with the video. The game its self is fantastic and I would buy it again even knowing what i know about the ending. But all the points in the video are on the level with mine. As far as the original question goes. I see no harm in fans doing this if it helps people who need help.

Additional note, If the game was not any good people would not be so upset as they are. They have grown attached to the series and developed a relationship with there charicters.
