Some think of it more like a $15 a month subscription IM that offers some adventure for the chat group. Instead of IM back and forth for hours they pay to chat while adventuring/fighting/crafting in game. WoW is entertainment just the same as movies andtelevision, but with more interaction. A time killer like many other things and usually costs less per month. It depends on who you're interacting with in my opinion.

Manhunt. Just didn't do anything for me at all except make me want to play GTA 3 - Vice City. I hated those stupid masks... it was a shortcut to creating original characters to face off with.
On my Vista PC with Core 2 Duo 6300, 8800gts, with 2gb ddr2, NWN2 runs like a slideshow. Considering that Obsidian packed NWN2 with a 'trial version' of DDO - Stormreach, I have an idea as to why Obsidian completely f'd online play up.
Had Obsidian stuck to the original formula for creating custom content, nobody would have needed DDO - Stormreach because the Mod community would have created better dungeons.
Obsidian tanked this game on purpose IMO, and it will be the last Obsidian product that I ever purchase.
I really enjoy playing both, but C&C 3 really nailed it for me.
The thing that gets me about SC is that I spend so much time zoomed out for tactics that I never really get to watch the battles go down. I love the graphics on SC, but I never get close enough to actually enjoy them.
C&C 3 keeps me close to the fight so I actually get to enjoy the details.
They both got my money, but C&C 3 will definitely get more time.
I hope that helps.
My wife started on MUDs back in the early 90s, and she enjoys WoW (level 60 priest) and Sims 2 today.
Women gamers are harder to find, but usually worth it when you do!
