If it helps, Metacritic has 20 reviews up now from critics. So, at least Gamespot isn't behind everyone else on this one .... oh.

I understand if they are waiting to verify any concerns or worries with online features (such as the MyCareer progression issue the 360 was having), but it seems like a review could have been presented simply making note of what they hadn't been able to reliably test yet -- and then updated once those features were adequately reviewed.

I trust Gamespot reviews more than any other site, and understand a part of that trust comes from how thorough they generally are ... but it would have been nice to see something. Unless I missed it, there's been zero mention of 2K13 since it's release date, now a full week ago.

[QUOTE="md77"]

This is rather ridiculous, as just about every single possible site that even considers reviewing games has their review up.

Dracula68

This is obviously a joke because even I only have 6 reviews each for 360 and PS3. 6 is nothing in the big scheme of things though I do realize sports games get less reviews as evidenced here with NBA 2k9..they averaged 27 between 360 and PS3. Either way expect more coming!

------------------------------------------

Fair enough, but NBA Live (as did Madden, as did FIFA 10)had a review up within a day of release. These two games are in direct competition with each other, and since Live got a reasonably good review, this could be viewed as something less than a coincidence. That may not be the case, but it's hard to ignore as well.

Not having a copy of the game is no longer a valid excuse, nor is waiting for promised updates, as there are many people playing the version of the game currently available, that has been for over a week.

We're not talking about some obscure downloadable game, rather a game with a fairly large following, and the top selling title in its genre. Given that its direct compeition had a quickly posted review, it doesn't really make sense.

Still, thank you for the response.

Honestly, is a review even coming?

This is rather ridiculous, as just about every single possible site that even considers reviewing games has their review up. Did EA sign you to an exclusive deal? Or, perhaps an exclusive deal, only when their game will get the worse score.

Dear Gamespot.

Seriously, you could have gone to Blockbuster found the game to be checked out, waited a few days, gone back to see if they had any in yet, been told no, gone home, waited a little longer, then went back to the store and finally found a copy and reviewed that copy by now.

Is a review coming? What about those who put some value in your reviews who are waiting to see how it compares to NBA Live 10?

Unless the person assigned to review the game had a personal tragedy, in which case someone else could have turned in a review by now, there is no excuse for the tardiness with such a popular release.

I actually had to look back and make sure you'd completed the NBA 2K9 review....just to make sure.

I would concur about Gamespots lack of dedication to the PS3. Since it has so many fewer owners than the 360, this is to be somewhat understood. Still, Gamespot has the reviews I most often agree with and it is very frustrating to have to wait so long for reviews.

P.S. I did own a 360, but once the 4th console experienced the Red Ring of Death (for the second time within the first 30 days of ownership) I returned it for a complete refund and sold all of my games to Gamestop. Having owned and played both, I don't understand the group that argues so heavily in favor of 360. I actually like the PS3 as a system better, and once the library catches up, I have little doubt that it will be superior to the 360.

Why, with so many good games coming out (GRAW-2 and Warhawk) are the reviews so slow to come. While Stuntman's review has already arrived. GRAW-2 has been out for a week and still no review.
