Lets say that a Metroid was announced on the 3DS. What would you hope for?

If you pick third person, do you want them to try again with the Other M system, or do you have something else in mind completely? If you pick first person, do you want a new Prime, a remake, or a new series. Etc, etc.

Personally, I want a classic 2D sidescroller. Either a remake of Metroid 2, or a new game altogether(maybe a sequel to Fusion).

That doesn't mean anything. The Vita is a HANDHELD. It's not a full-out console. When has a handheld ever been such a ridiculous price? Don't give me any BS about inflation or something like that. The DSi XL launch price was $190. I believe the PSP launch price was also $250, but it INCLUDED a memory stick, there was internal memory, and the memory cards weren't as insanely priced.

The PSP launch bundle came with a 32mb memory card(yay, enough for a 20 minute episode of something...almost), so that's hardly worth mentioning. Also, the DSi XL was just a version of the DS, so of course it won't be the same price as a full next gen portable. The 3DS on the other hand was $250 at launch before it flopped. The Vita is pretty much doing exactly what the PSP did. However I don't think it will work out well for Sony, and they will probably have to drop the price as the 3DS did.

How in the world did you find this thread? It's almost 3 years old.

This is Google's first result for the terms, "dead rising psp". :P

Haha, nice. Well the topics not really dated in terms of discussion, so I guess we could talk about it still(there must be some reason gamespot holds 4 year old topics).

I don't think that even a toned down port of Dead Rising would of ever worked right on the PSP, but now we know about the NGP. What do you guys think, will they be able to give us a full Dead Rising game on the NGP? I'm sure at the least, they could do something like Chop till you Drop on the Wii.

Games just need to be globally viewed as a normal form of media, instead of as a toy for kids that some adults also like. You never hear anyone complain about porno movies and the like anymore, and games should be no different.

[QUOTE="mastershakez"] You can defend them if you want, I don't want to turn this into an anti microsoft topic, but it's pretty clear they don't want MMOs on the 360.KC_Hokie

Microsoft isn't anti-MMO. From what I understand Microsoft believes an online game that makes the vast majority of its profit via monthly fees should require 1. all gamers use Xbox Live Gold accounts and 2. A certain percentage of those monthly fees should go to MS because their network is being used. The MMO developers won't agree to either stating the free 'Silver' accounts should be enough and MS won't get a percentage of the monthly fees (should only get revenue from sale of game itself and add-ons).

I think both sides have a point but it's why an Xbox 360 MMO requiring a monthly fee is unlikely for a long time (until one side gives). It's also why a buy to play (microtransations) MMO such as Dust 514 have the best chance of making it.

Yes, that's a much better explanation. I understand why MS wants the extra money, but I can't say that it's a fair request.

All canceled(360 version of them). MS has some strict rules in place that makes it hard for MMO devs.

Agent_Kaliaver

Or you know it might be because Huxley is still MIA and Champions did so badly on the PC...

Champions was originally stated that it would be released at the same time as the PC version, then they said they were waiting on something from microsoft. Then they said they weren't alowd to talk about what ever microsoft wanted or wouldn't let them do, and the game was not coming to the 360 anymore. You can defend them if you want, I don't want to turn this into an anti microsoft topic, but it's pretty clear they don't want MMOs on the 360.
