The only thing I'm really looking forward to is not even an official game release but a mod... Black Mesa: Source. After watching the trailer recently I think even Half-Life 2 Episode 3 will pale into insignificance next to that ;)

ETC ETC ETC Whats the point of these sort of comparisons, apart from to provoke the above sort of reaction from the mono-cellular/syllabic L33T gamers who have nothing better to do with their time than slag each other's systems off. I sometimes despair at the human race. Sometimes, like Bill Hicks, I pray for NUCLEAR HOLOCAUST IN 5 MINUTES!!! Er, but I'm glad I recently got a 360 - Orange Box games look the business and are the final nail in the coffin for my gaming PC ;)

Overkill prices, overkill power. Who plays games at those resolutions? Most peoples monitors can't handle more than 1280 x 1024. I wouldn't bother with anything more than an X1800 to be honest, and only then if it's got a quiet fan and is less than £150. My gaming PC has an AMD64 3200+, 2gb RAM and a Radeon X800XT... but I haven't hardly touched it since I got my DS :) Who needs dual core and dual graphics cards when you got Dual Screen and a stylus? Much more fun!
