I will probably avoid this one. XIII-2 redeemed it enough for me, even if the ending blew...in other news there's a great RPG out now on 3DS by the name of Brave Default. I'm only 2 hours in and the levels of nostalgia the game induces is in all honesty, insane. It is a bit easy, but the difficulty can be adjusted to give you a challenge. If you have a 3DS go play the RPG that Square Enix actually got right this year. If you don't have a 3DS, this game is a great reason to get one.

@djpetitte I actually concur with @djpetitte on it being the game, @WantYouBad. I have this game for PC and on can I run it all my specs check out. Mind you, my build is a fairly cheap build, 6 core 3.3 ghz amd processor overclocked at 4.0 ghz, 8gb ram. 7770 hd radeon gpu etc., I still have more than enough to run the game pretty smoothly and yet I can barely get it to run on optimal. Ghost's graphics upgrade isn't that significant and the really sad part is that I can run batman origins maxed out with physics on because catalyst supports it in some games @ 47-50fps (according to can i run it, I'm not supposed to run it that well.), but I'm crashing on the intro of ghost and its set to optimal with minor adjustments to shadows and texture. wtf? is it the ridiculous 6gb of ram required on minimum settings or what? not to get side tracked though, the graphics do look pretty decent across the board with pc coming out on top and etc. I'm done venting/commenting.

I see several comments in regards to substance degradation in some of the recent Pokemon titles. I would just like to inform new comers to this discussion. The story is practically the same. The formula has evolved actually. No one plays it just for the story but for the pokemon as well, and there are a lot of interesting new pokemon depending on when you last paid. hands down the most exhilarating thing in playing pokemon is the battling. Not that in-game nonsense but the real deal, battling out against another player who actually has a strategic approach.I have never known how much detail went into the battling system until I playing diamond a few years back. It's like a chess game and everyone has something to bring.

Breeding, IV's, EV's, movesets, eggmoves, natures, abilities, all of those mechanics in the game equal absorbent amounts of time spent forge a great team to compete with. There's an adventure greater than the one you could ever play during story mode awaiting you after the credits roles and many people aren't even aware of it. There are even sites dedicated to providing information on various aspects of the game as well (smogon, serebii). I liked pokemon a lot when I was younger but I have never been addicted to it because it's quite repetitive, predictable even but that's no to say I don't enjoy the improvements either. I am, however, completely and hopelessly addicted to battling over WiFi.

Honestly, my heart beat races every time I load the screen, and to me that's the definition of a great gaming experience. Seriously think about it. When was the last time your heart race uncontrollably from anticipation and excitement due to a video game. Be honest because the list is very short. If Pokemon has been anything over the years, it has been the perfect example of longevity. You get you bang for your buck, it's portable, and it's fun. Sorry for the long comment. Peace be with you all and happy gaming.

@starduke tis a shame you don't have a 3DS. I sincerely hope you get one soon, so you can enjoy not only pokemon but some of the other good titles yet to come out. What you say is true about the Pokemon x and y being popular on campus. I brought my 3DS on campus for a day and I meet 12 individuals in My Mii community on the 3ds. Every last one of them was currently playing pokemon x or y

I'm just glad to see that someone else(referring to the reviewer) is willing to admit how much the second half of this game drags. Don't get me wrong. It is a really good game but that second half does indeed go on for what seems to be forever and a day

Gotta start holding publishers accountable. If Microsoft will listen then eventually they will too. Some people have it all together and others need a little help. We should help them. And everyone lived happily ever after. The End.

Me personally-tired of fps-wish square enix would make real rpg's again-It's old and I am not mentally disabled in anyway. FPS does nothing for me when it comes to immersion-nothing. I want to see the character and that character's interaction with the world. COD is played out-idk what anyone says but the original cod 4 was the pennacle of that franchise imo. Move on please. Square Enix thinks rpg players are retarded/infant children. I played their rpgs (Final fantasy) because they're charming and made me think. Those are just a few things I want to be done differently and if I'm willing to pay for it then it ought to be how I want it-and I could honestly give 2 fucks if anyone disagreed because It's my money and I decide how/what I want to spend it on not anyone else, just me.

Congrats Xbox One fanatics and the gaming community in general. This is how the gaming community should work for the consumer as we are in fact the consumer and we know what we want. Consumer base rages about an important issue and the recipients of said rage actually listen. Personally though I had more respect for Microsoft when they sided with publishers on this particular issue despite the fact that they had chosen the wrong side-at least they were taking a stance in supporting publishers in an effort to help them snatch sales from used games sales. That being said-it's up to us as the consumer to inform game publishers that the product they're putting out is not meeting our expectations and stop excepting just anything. If they don't want use to by second hand or trade then they need to really start listening to what it is we want from them. Yes they have a job to do and their own creative vision to think of but it's always ultimately up to the consumer whether or not their product does well. So please stop accepting bullshit! Can't stress that enough.
