Extremely unlike Because DDR4 will not Affect DDR3 price since DDR4 is premium module atm for like LGA 2011 Which is Quad Channel DDR4 and Cost alot of money they are used to supply what you call The intel Extreme Series the X99 those 500$ + CPU on 250$ + motherboard to be release soon

Also early speculation claim there will be not any DDR4 for what will Replace Z97 and nothing from AMD that announce DDR4 before 2016 on the Roadmap or Even have a use for it

And as far the reviewer who noticed said even thought the DDR4 tested was at 1.2V and at 2.8Ghz - CPU like i7 4790K even if they ad a motherboard to support it - would see no gain for ur Everyday Task such as Gaming beyond 1.600Mhz it mostly just for the bragging , I also don't know yet if Skylake will really not feature DDR4 for it Regular Line and what use would it have for the average user on that architecture

So don't hold ur Breath about a price drop it ain't gonna happen ,You can probably hope for black friday for some deal i remember around 2 year ago DDR3 for like 2x4B was 47.99$ Without MIR in Canada then it rised slowly to 64.99$ and now it rarely below 79.99$ - if something it seem to me DDR3 price is rising I don't know why maybe someone does

All I'm saying is the future is finally bright with 8K TVs coming out and 3Gb/s SSD to be able to transfer the big space that those 8K movies are going to take.

8K gonna take a while to be there and won't be below 85 inch screen AFAIK Over 4K HDTV which is said you can't noticeable the difference below 50-55 inch unless you sit at 2 feet of ur HDTV

however the point is probably a SSD that above 400MB/S can play 8K HDTV content and it unlikely a 8K HDTV go below 40K as to notice Difference you have to go in the 80 inch + and those TV COST lot of money

on a Bright side it might be possible to buy a 4K HDTV within 2 Year of now below 2K USD but to notice Difference it would have to be one of those 55 inch

The SSD you listed is a enterprise model so unaffordable for those who doesn't have a 4K HDTV yet

and there is Alternative cheaper coming out soon with the Controller from LSI known as SF3700 PCI-E 2.0 4X native allowing 1.8Gb/s Bandwidth it might be possible to buy those SSD for 350-450$ for 256-34x Format within Spring

thought it almost impossible to fit a PCI-E 2.0 SSD with ATX Format Support with Two video card + sound card gotta go E-ATX for that :P

@koolkeys:

Because Tigerdirect.com & .ca is Exactly Like Zeller which is now Dead in canada and replaced by Target at the very location they closed

so they go like why update price to lower ASAP ? if customer buy it at higher price they keep that like-mind but they offer price-match that mean like a Bestbuy if i remember at least that what told me people who bough there and they did price-match the monitor for my DAD A BenQ-2000HD something

With Bestbuy they always like try to make you think the video card from the same brand is 380$ when on like newegg.com it 320$ And they also pricematch Amazon's But only If amazon Directly Sell it which mean not a #3rd Party and have the same model : they are forced to price-match it at 110% that mean you get it cheaper then newegg.com

However with Tigerdirect they don't do the Extra i heard but it just you gotta tell them newegg.com have the same Product Number's and that you would want one or GTFO and don't buy of there place simple

Because sometime they try to tell you huh.. we can't make profit so we won't drop the price higher then 20$ : oh yeah ? Well see you in a decade

For Example lately I was buying a new Controller In Canada with Bestbuy they where selling the F310 of Logitech for 36.99$ + TAX 14.5% which was on the bill 42$ but i asked pricematch a retailer and got it for 27$ with tax included : Tigerdirect.ca was also selling it that much high

If you don't need to buy a monitor $800 is a fairly good budget and I would expect it to still be at least matching consoles in 4 years.

This is Almost True since i doubt a New HD Console will appear Before 2018 or it will have fallen to be All Steambox like :P I think they want to make sure there Xbox one / PS4 is a Gaming console for the next 5 year Given it post Launch to 2014 for holiday Reason

I do Think however that running game on medium very all of them might remain a challenge with a 800$ PC Especially if the Monitor is a need in 4 Years of now but the Vast majority should run well

I'm thinking unless there a combo deal like micro-center he will be having FX6300 and a GTX 660 / 7950 or GTX 760 / 7970 if he can strech more money given he need a monitor

he should minimum get a 7870 Related power which obviously will have issue playing game in 2 year of now but is for now running somewhat okay

iv read it possible to get 7970 recertified for about 250$

Console Gaming ? smooth gameplay ? 30FPS ? 30HZ ? i don't even ... Even a Fluctuating 33-50FPS gaming with a poor video card at all high would make so much more sense

anyway Back to topic will ya ? I really can't stand BF4 Current 4-6 Time crash i hardly can make a whole match of 20 minute without crashed 4 time and it doesn't keep my K/D stats in the game i just look on battlelog then im like no way ? im negative..

why do you alway crash on me when i finally securised a strong push with my Squad or Got The Chopter and was on a killstreak of 7+. then it crash and point and reward didn't even count

it like ur at 2 kill 4 death : you go on a streak 11 kill 4 death :server crash : battlelog think you still 2 kill 4 it like wow no point gain : no unlock : all gone

BF3 early was kind of like that but much less worst

if you are in usa wait black friday : best time to get hardware also around new year they have sales relatively same as black friday but not always

but yes for around 800-900$ you can get a pc playing at mix of medium to high resolution for the Vast majority of Video game for next 3 year and maybe medium for the next 5 year :

however FPS hitting over 40FPS all time : that is uncertain no one know if IE Geforce Series 10-11 for 200$ in 2018 will have like 2.5X to 4x GTX 780 power

if money and lasting is really a issue go with like a 230-320$ GPU that is strong enough for high current then once it start to be feel slow like in 3 year Grab something like Geforces Series 8xx / 9xx

that way you will be sure to have nearly max graphic for probably even 2018 instead of trying to be like building a 1000-1200$ PC with like GTX 780 at 450$ and hope it last 4 year better cause it 10-15% better then a 120-150$ cheaper gpu that won't really work

you cannot also either go like GTX 760 SLI within next year and hope it last 5 Year because you can't really rely on SLI / Crossfire to last you half a Decade let alone ur video card could die like within that time laspe most of Video card can last 5 year of heavy duty gaming with overclocking but not all

and let not forget with driver stopped to being developed for optimization for older card and bunch of AAA title that are still poorly optimize for SLI
