Halo 3 was just pig fat, fed to Xbox players. I've played Halo, and I like it, but it's simple. no fantastic gameplay elements. It borrowing off the revolutionary Half Life gameplay ethnic, but that was revolutionary for a different reason, and was made in a different Generation.
Looking at the gameplay, it's as if Bungie used updated versions of the same engine for the 3 games. Thats means 3 metre jumping, a bunny hoppers paradise.
In contrast, looking at KZ2, I can see that it's a much more engaging, atmospheric shooter. The AI is impressive, the animations are great, like the gun sway, and the fellow soldiers. Also, fellow soldiers helping you out, for example, getting up high ledges. The reason people find it "dull" is because of the limited colour palette, which is used to convey the war, the destruction, and the horror. Thats is a defining factor of making it atmospheric.
All the features people have described are nothing new to any FPS, console or PC. Online CO-OP is coming in a wide range of PS3 exclusives, including KZ2. Taking pictures and videos ingame isn't very interesting. Unless you're making movies or recording a clan match, even then, its not exactly a "movie making" game.
What I also find is appalling in this day and age of gaming that people judge an UNreleased game completely by its predecessor (KZ wasn't all that bad, it was only fps problems for me, to be honest).
In brief, I believe, and many agree with me, while Halo 3 is great at creating a good twist on the current FPS format, mainly in multiplayer, it fails when it comes revolutionary, or intriguing features. It's story is typical of an over-hyped, money hoarding Microsoft sequel.
Say what you want, you are not going change my opinion, or the opinions of others who believe this is the way it is. Because that is the way it is. They should lock the thread into the fiery dungeons of doom.
